Re: Template Approaches
I see in your signature that you’re using VEPRO7 with DP and Metagrid Pro. I use these as well but have found that ever since Metagrid Pro 1.4 and the Metaserver version 3.4(currently 4.something), that VEPro is stealing/freezing Metagrid commands. It’s really noticeable for me and some others when ...

Re: Bounce Out WAV with Timecode embedded
Hello All, How do I bounce out a WAV file, but also include timecode information embedded within that WAV? Thanks! You simply need to select the BWF Wav format when bouncing your mix. BWF wav files have the timecode location of where you bounced the file from such that when opened in another DAW or...

Re: The Raven MTi2 Thread
Unfortunately that thread at apple discussions is not correct in that the space or desktop that the space exists on does not cause an app to consistently launch to that display or space. Basically, in Sierra in my case, it is not following the display selection I have made in the dock for an app to ...

Re: The Raven MTi2 Thread
When you refer to "window sets" do you mean in Digital Performer? Or are you referring to "spaces/desktops" in the Mac finder? I'm doing ok with Digital performer placing windows, the mixer etc in predictable places....my issue is when I open up Apps in the finder or from the doc...

Re: The Raven MTi2 Thread
Assigning apps to open on a specific display once more than 2 spaces are created does not work reliably on my computer using Sierra 10.12.6. I had a long screen share with apple and was able to show them over and over that the assignment of which display an app should open in as shown when control c...

Re: The Raven MTi2 Thread
I just got rolling with a MTi2 this week with DP 9. Lots of potential here! It's going to be amazing when we can either have 10 touch points on the DP mixer or access to automation and multiple labeled inserts in the raven mixer. I don't care which mixer we use...just want it to have all of the func...

It looks like the exhibition starts Friday. Seminars and talks start Thursday. Am I seeing that right?

Thunderbolt SSD speed limitations
I have now been using the OWC Thunderbay4 mini. It is working really well with my 4 SSD drives installed in it. This is a replacement for the Promise Pegasus J4 which was no longer working properly. What is interesting is that when benchmarking my SSD drives in the OWC enclosure I logged Read and Wr...

Re: Samsung 840pro poor performance
***UPDATE*** After much troubleshooting...and new SSD drive purchasing [OWC 6G]. I finally came to the conclusiong that my issues with the SSD speeds were related to my Promise Pegasus J4 enclosure. I just received a new OWC Thunderbay4 MINI and now everything seems to be working great. All of the S...

Re: Samsung 840pro poor performance
What is weird is that the Samsung worked for about 13 months great. And then I've been in this rabbit hole with it. Perhaps an OS change is Mac did something at some point. Just to reiterate, my other 3 connects Samsung 840pros [512GB] all work well. Those contain all of my sample VI libraries so as...

Re: Samsung 840pro poor performance
Samsung said since the replacement drive they sent would be he most current firmware. On a good note, I installed the OWC 6G and so far it is working great. 300MB/s write, 500MB/s read...even after copying my 240gb of record drive data on to it. Will keep an eye on it and de rig tanks like the samsu...

Re: Samsung 840pro poor performance
Thanks for the info. I do not use any defrag software. Occasionally run disk utility. What is strange is once I copy data to the drive and then test it with low numbers, even an initializatiin or standard erase won't bring it back to life. It's like it's permanently damaged. I have 3 other 840 pros ...

Samsung 840pro poor performance [RESOLVED]
I have had 5 Samsung 840pro SSD's [512GB] for about 18 months. 4 of them are for streaming samples and are working great. The other two drives are for recording. The recording drives worked well for about a year. Then the Write speed dropped to about 80MB/s. Clicks and Pops followed. Samsung replace...

Re: Alpha track needs to be reset each session
I did the 1.4.1 reinstall and app nap button the other day. No improvement. I guess this might just be part of my routine. I suppose a fresh install of DP 8 is possible...but man I'm too busy to mess around with that.

Re: Alpha track needs to be reset each session
I think at one point as an experiment I trashed my DP preferences and it didn't help the situation. "Glad" to hear somebody else is having this problem. Did yours work perfectly for any period of time like mine did...say 2 months or so?
