Re: DP 10 ??? Months In?
I quite enjoy the DP workflow, longtime user, but man does this application need a refactor.
Looks like MOTU is hiring software engineers...I'm tempted to apply, but prob couldn't handle Boston winters lol

Constant crashing when editing beats
DP 9.52 crashing all the time when editing beats in the waveform editor. Nasty stuff. Anyone else get this? On latest version of macOS Mojave (10.14.6). 2018 mac mini i7m 16gb ram. tiny little sequence with perhaps 5 tracks. Is 10 any more stable? I've been holding off upgrading, but this has got me...

Re: Are Busses in DP 1/10th as efficient as tracks?
Perhaps MOTU could implement a digital "gate" on auxes, that shut off processing if no signal is present. Though, that would lead to a lot of cpu spikes. No real good answer I'm afraid. Seems like the old maxim, "bus your tracks to the same aux to save on cpu" no longer applies! ...

Re: NAMM NEWS - DP 10 - It's Here!
I will use clips (not loops as that is something else in DP) much the same way I have used the session view in ableton. Often it's not about triggering a "loop" as a clip can be any length you want. A 10 minute drone, or 5 minute randomly generated MIDI stream...mistaking clips for "l...

Re: NAMM NEWS - DP 10 - It's Here!
more specifically----If one pastes chorus 1 into chorus 2, one should have 1) An exact duplicate of the mix from chorus 1, IN chorus 2) and 2) Nothing in verse 2 prior to chor 2 should change, and nothing following chor 2 should change. This is pre school requirements. Share your crayons level stuf...

Re: NAMM NEWS - DP 10 - It's Here!
...by dragging the last automation point in the original automation to the first automation point in the copy (assuming the copy is later in time than the original). For dozens (maybe hundreds) of automation lanes? No thanks! I'll stick with Pro Tools for mixing! DP is by far my favorite sequencer,...

Re: NAMM NEWS - DP 10 - It's Here!
whatever you do, you end up with snapshots of EVERY plugin parameter instead of only the ones you allow in the Automation Setup box. Right, this is what happens to me and why I don't use snapshots. Can work ok for volume/pan, but automating a plugin with snapshots is a total mess. I've tried everyt...

Re: NAMM NEWS - DP 10 - It's Here!
I’ll throw the track into automation record, and then click the fader or aux knob during playback Totally, when I remember to do it this way this works, better than penciling in initial value. Though I usually keep mixer detached from Consolidated Windows so it's one more step. But not a big deal. ...

Re: NAMM NEWS - DP 10 - It's Here!
I've always found DP's handling of automation to be among it's clunkiest features. Those that haven't spent time in other DAW's working with automation have no idea what they are missing. It's a joy to automate in Pro Tools/Ableton Live. It just works . One detail I find absolutely ridiculous DP doe...

Re: Could Someone Explain Multi Bounce Operation?
Multibounce is not the most useful feature imho. You have to check a few boxes when bouncing the first time to create a bounce "preset". After that you can utilize that preset in a multibounce. You'll want three different chunks for your different mixes. You may find that routing audio thr...

Looks great, wish they included enhancements to exporting audio (especially the ability to edit metadata), but everything new looks useful.
