Re: DP 8.07 error code(-35)

Well. I reinstalled DP8.07. But of course I had to delete all of the DP9.02 files first since 8.07 won't install over 9.02. (Incidentally, DP9 knows where the presets are saved in VST and AU.) Once done, I repaired permissions, dumped the preferences and fired up DP 8.07. Opened a VST of Kontakt and...

Re: DP 8.07 error code(-35)

Thanks all. I will do a reinstall of DP 8.07 and repair permissions through the terminal . I'll get back and let you all know if this worked. BTW, I never got any email notifications that any of you wrote a response. Hmmmmmm? I'll check my account again and SPAM folder.

stay tuned.

DP 8.07 error code(-35)

I recently had to switch from running AU plugs to VST plugs mainly because Minnetonka's Pro Logic II DOLBY (V.3.3) can only run as AAX or VST plugin. And no stand alone yet for OSX 10.11.4 So this means when I open up a number of instances of Kontakt or any other VST instrument, I want to save the p...

Re: Something is definitely wrong with DP9 AUTOSAVE...

I don't use VEP. mainly because i had heard too that 64-bit was a problem. So I never upgraded. VEP did 64 bit and 32 bit at the same time. Still does. They've been ahead of the curve in every respect, for years now. Not sure what you're referring to? Not a problem at all. I don't like VEP. It caus...

Re: Something is definitely wrong with DP9 AUTOSAVE...

Hello. Amongst my worst DP9 problems, is this issue I've been observing for weeks. Now, I'm pretty confident there's definitely something wrong with Autosave. 1.- It is the cause of a lot of my crashes, especially when I use VE Pro, and when I use MachFive (hosted within VE Pro and as a regular VI ...

Re: Going back to 8.07 from 9.02

Whew! i hear all your pain from every post. I had no idea I would strike such a nerve with this thread. Since my OP, 8.07 on 10.11.3 is working nearly flawlessly. Only had one crash on a large project over three weeks. And I think it's mouse related. I have an older logitech M310. But with current d...

Re: Going back to 8.07 from 9.02

I can be sympathetic that developers have to keep pace with Apple releasing new OS's with such frequency. And Apple has not been (IMHO) very thorough about making their releases better-than-the-last. MOTU can be forgiven for directing resources toward adding new features. And it must be difficult t...

Re: Going back to 8.07 from 9.02

Some of my most troubling crashes happen when DP autosaves. It will give me the beach ball from hell, quit DP, and CORRUPT the last auto saved copy. This was also one of my crash scenarios to FM. I turned off auto-saves. But then other issues came up and different reasons for crashing. As I said ea...

Re: Going back to 8.07 from 9.02

Are there crash reports? Yes. There were at first and I kept writing to MOTU each time in the "message" block about how it crashed each time. I got 3 reports and responded to all of them. Then they stopped. No more crash reports in DP9. And unfortunately I didn't save any of them as they ...

Going back to 8.07 from 9.02

For a while DP 9 worked pretty well with ElCap. Then when i updated to 9.02 and OSX 10.11.3, all heck broke loose. Crashes every 2 minutes and not the same way twice. Once while importing audio. Another while dragging audio from a soundbite file to the sequence window. And other times when in the mi...

Re: DP 9.01 & 8.07 crash when dragging a soundbite into a tr

I did open Protools to salvage a mix due today and when I tried to import the files I got this error message; Could not complete the Import Audio command because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/151228/ProTools/NewFileLibs/Cfd/MacBuild/../MacOS/Cfd_ImportAudioDialogMacOS.mm", line 559. ...

Re: DP 9.01 & 8.07 crash when dragging a soundbite into a tr

Is there a crash report? Hey Mike- yes there was, sent them off to MOTU with some comments. I would think there is a file of crash reports. Just not sure where to look???? A couple more curious things have happened since my last post. 1. If I open an older project on the same drive, and go through ...

DP 9.01 & 8.07 crash when dragging a soundbite into a track

This just started happening today. I opened a new project in DP 9.01 and assign 3 stereo tracks and 8 MIDI tracks to the project. Open a QT .MOV (mp4) and import the audio from the movie to the sequence. Then I go to the sound bites folder and import 3-4 stereo SFX files. All of which are the same s...
