Re: Problem with KeyCue and DP 8

Brilliant, that works! Thanks so much for posting this - I'd not got round to contacting KeyCue support again. I need to get a bigger screen now though to see all DP's key commands

Re: Problem with KeyCue and DP 8

Thanks Chris. On our main rigs it doesn't work, but on our laptop running mavericks and DP 8.0.4 it works fine. Of course, that doesn't help us in the production rooms. :banghead: Can I ask what you are using it for? What does it do that the Commands feature doesn't? Does it bring up all the mini m...

Re: Problem with KeyCue and DP 8

No. I reported it to the developer who asked where he could download a demo of DP to investigate, but I never heard back. In the meantime, I've come to rely on the Commands window more.

Re: The DP 8.06 Bug Report Thread

Let me rephrase that: Is it the same for other trackpads? Seems to differ. On my MBP, the trackpad works ok on Soundbites, Track Selector, MIDI, and TO, although the acceleration is a bit overdone. For Mixer and SE, it's really bad. I won't be testing 8.06 and the Magic Trackpad on the iMac until I...

Re: Unable to input MIDI notes

The upside for me was that the random notes I entered while trying to figure out what was wrong made for a more interesting piece. Perhaps this could lead to a new way of composing music

Re: Unable to input MIDI notes

Ah, thanks - so easy. Now I remember, I had been experimenting with the search function so could well have hit cmd+f by mistake.

Still, good to be using DP again :)

Unable to input MIDI notes

I'm probably missing something obvious, but all of a sudden I'm unable to input any MIDI notes, either by recording from my S90, step input or by using the pencil tool. Everything was fine earlier today and I can't think of anything that could have triggered the change. I've tried rebooting, and als...

Re: Is Maverick OS 8.9 working out for everyone?

Yes, I've been watching Justin's "leaks" with mounting excitement. Sibelius is floundering a bit with Mavericks (sacking the development team probably hasn't helped), so it could be a good time for MakeMusic.

Re: Is Maverick OS 8.9 working out for everyone?

I've been spending a lot of time with Finale since upgrading to Mavericks, so haven't been using DP as much. But so far Mavericks is easily the most painless OS upgrade my 2008 iMac has been through (it started its life on Leopard), and the first one that has made it run better. :D The only casualty...

Re: DP and Mavericks

Looks like Apogee have a Mavericks driver for the Duet Firewire, plus I've just found that spreadsheets on the new iPad Numbers won't sync with my iMac until I upgrade to Mavericks, so it looks like I'll go ahead a.s.a.p. and trust to my backups.

Using Garritan with DP8

The latest Garritan blog post is about using Garritan libraries with DP8. Looks like I wasn't the only one who suggested this as a blog topic :) I've not had a chance to look at it and will be away for a couple of days, so I'll be interested in what others think. http://www.garritan.com/blog/digital...
