Thanks Terry,
You saved my ultralite mk3 from going out of the window .
Been fiddling with the motu driver after latest windows 2020 update , but nothing worked .
Removing the entries in the hidden devices did the trick .
thanks again

Strange though that the usb does not work .
Do you use a usb hub ?
If you connect other devices to one usb port there may not be enough energy
Have you tried other usb ports ?

Darkins
With usb- did you use the poweradapter ?
With the firewire connection have you tried the fix for the iee1394 driver
http://www.motu.com/techsupport/technot ... -windows-7
General solutions :
Cable check !!
Onboard audio disabled ?

Nathan
Good to hear its okay now
For the mic input: if you use the xlr connection, push the trim knob to activate
the 20db pad .Maybe this will lower your input signal .

Re: My Ultralite MK3 Hybrid Problem.
Firewire could be the problem
Windows 8 ( which windows version do you use ?) has some issues with firewire
Did you try the usb connection ?

Re: cubase 5 and motu 896mk3 ignore each other
your 1 e and 2e image are not showing up ?
3e image shows the motu audio console
Have you checked the device setup - correct asio driver - and vst connections in cubase - (F4 and the inputs / outputs)
It's described somewhere in the motu manual ; (cubase nuendo ableton setup)

controlling spdif out
I have just got the audio express and connected to my monitors using the spdif out
Is there a way to control the output -volume- on the unit .
Now i use the windows volume control .
Would it be better to connect the monitors- (m-audio dsm3) to the main output
thanks
