I'm currently running 10.4 on my Mac Mini...if I upgrade to 10.5, will I still be able to use DP 4.61?
Many thanks,
IW

Re: TUTORIAL: M-Audio Axiom/Oxygen Transport Controls with DP
It should work, but the problem is you have to program the buttons from the front panel interface and can't use Enigma. For whatever reason the edits to the button parameters don't seem to "stick" using Enigma. Ooo tiny buttons for programming in a little display! Just like my first seque...

Re: TUTORIAL: M-Audio Axiom/Oxygen Transport Controls with DP
I'm running DP 4.61...will any of this work?
I was looking at an Axiom for use primarily as a MIDI controller, but if it will do fun stuff with DP as well that'd be a bonus.

Post update question...
Just updated to 4.61 from 4.52. On the cutting edge, me.
Apparently I now have two fully operating DP versions. Can I get rid of 4.52? And how do I do that without mucking 4.61 up?
Thanks,
IW

Invisible MIDI events... [RESOLVED]
I'm returning to this board after a long absence...during which time my DAW has been gathering dust. So treat me as a noob because I've probably forgotten most of what I ever knew. At any rate: I've finally gotten around to hooking up MIDI. I can record. Play back. But I can't see any MIDI events......

Best (as in "most stable") version of OS X 10.4x w
I read this somewhere on here, but for life of me can't find it via search. Basically: someone mentioned that there's a version of Tiger that plays best with a certain version of DP 4.5. I've finally got 10.4, and I've got an incremental upgrade to DP 4.5 available, but I want to make sure I don't &...

Is that a purchased thing? I didn't see it on the site, so I'm assuming it is...emulatorloo wrote:Did not see you were on 10.3 -- yes, you need 10.4 to install 10.4.5

Re: And another thing...
I'm on 10.3.9. Sez there that the sys requirement is "Mac OS X versions 10.4 - 10.4.3."
An issue?

And another thing...
Is 10.4.5 something I'll get via Software Update?Frodo wrote:Tiger was better at dealing with audio than Panther was, and I believe it was 10.4.5 where things started to get a lot more stable and efficient.
Thanks for the assist!

Seem To Have Reached My Hardware Limit
That was fast. My HW and SW config. can be found in my signature line. Basically, I've got six tracks of audio, with 3, 2, 1, 4, 3, and 2 DP plug-ins on them, respectively. Things were going well for awhile. I had three additional scratch vocal tracks, and when I added another, it went all crackly a...

. Probably REX files, but I've never used those in DP. [...] I hope you're not terrible disappointed... :? Nah, I just may have screwed up and bought the wrong format for my drums. That's all I plan to use loops for--everything else is DI or analogue. For now, I'm treating DP like a big honking tap...
