Re: "Improvised Orchestral Art Song #1"
Here's a few good videos (there are more if you google them) which demonstrate what a breath controller allows to do. Apart from the fact that it leaves both hands free, it also allows very fast transients and nuances which are very difficult to achieve with a modwheel or a pedal. QUJBW9w_MQo,560,31...

Re: Yamaha BC3A breath controller
I was talking to Sweetwater today and told them that I will be buying the 'breath and bite' version and recommended that they carry it. Did you succeed? Here's someone using it nbK3tN8wKuI,540,384 For more videos scroll down this page http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2015/02/21/bbc-puts-bite-into-...

Re: Intra-note dynamics?
There was a pretty long thread about breath controllers. I have the TEControl and really like it. I also play melodica. It is not the same feel, exactly, but when you get it adjusted, it provides that same satisfying dynamic control. They also just released a new version with a lip/bite sensor, whi...

Here's another interesting one...Shooshie wrote:That's a good video, and great examples of what can be done with a library dedicated to performing wind instruments. The flute is 2nd to none that I've heard, and I may buy it JUST for the flute.

Re: VSL Dimension Brass or Wallander Instruments?
One thing I've still NOT gotten to sound right is flutter-tonguing. I've read that it's best done with a wind controller. I wonder if someone could publish a controller data file so it could be emulated. Check out this video. He does amazing flutter tonguing with a breath controller, starting at ar...

Re: Latest Sample Modeling SWAM update -- how to get dynamic
question about using latest SWAM MIDI with a expression pedal.... if you initially play a note quietly and continue to hold the note while increasing the exp velosity, does it get louder and more aggressive sounding? if it does, that'd be great... i think it's time to go buy an expression pedal Yes...

Re: Latest Sample Modeling SWAM update -- how to get dynamic
Samplemodeling VIs absolutely need an expression controller. In my experience they are at their best using a breath controller like this one.
There is an excellent video in which he controls expression in different ways, both with the BC and a pedal:

Re: I just came across this great video and...
I have the TEControl USB breath controller and it is great. Very intuitive, no need to learn complicated fingerings. Works fantastic for brass and woodwind. Particularly well suited for Samplemodeling VIs. Get one, you won't regret it.

Re: A new Breath Controller concept from Germany
I have the TEControl USB version and it works well, but balancing the airflow and sensitivity, and getting it to feel comfortable is a challenge. The included hoses & valves are from the hardware store. I have it too and would recommend to get their new headset, which has a really good BC3a sty...

Re: Question about multi-timbral setting in DP
Considering value and software versatility I would go for this one: http://tecontrol.se/products/usb-midi-breath-controller I use one of these and I can only recommend it. There is an impressive video showcasing it and the BC3 with Samplemodeling products. The tenor sax and trumpet are unbelievable...

Re: tecontrol works with iPad
Interesting! Is the USB camera kit an official Apple gadget?stubbsonic wrote:This is breaking news!
I plugged my tecontrol into my iPad4 using the lightening USB "camera kit". I was able to choose it as a control source and assign it to paramaters in Sunrizer and Animoog.
