2021 MBP and Ultralite MK3 hybrid driver issue
I just got a new MBP and downloaded what I believe is the latest driver. Hooking up the interface via a USB-C to USB adapter. My computer is not recognizing the interface. Is there anything else I need to do? - another driver or settings on the MBP/OS to make them work? Interface is a UL MK3 Hybrid....

Re: Ultralite MK3 Hybrid loose firewire connection
Bumping this. I'm very frustrated and angry about this as my original Ultralite with the older FW ports NEVER had connectivity issues.
I cannot use my MK3 with the firewire as any slightest movement causes the connection to drop.

Re: Ultralite MK3 Hybrid loose firewire connection
Terry, Does your MK3 have the firewire 800 or 400 style port? Mine has the 800 port which I think is part of the issue - Though my 2011 Macbook Pro also has the same port and I haven't lost connection on that side. I had the older/original Ultralite that was just firewire and that had the 400 ports ...

Re: Ultralite MK3 Hybrid loose firewire connection
Thanks, Terry. Glad I'm not the only one that has experienced this!
I'm trying to find a tighter fitting cable. That or seeing if I can get a better firewire port and solder that in.

Ultralite MK3 Hybrid loose firewire connection
I just got a new MK3 UL and I'm using it with my 2011 MBP. I used to own the original UL firewire before it died. Right out of the box the MK3 will loose connection and power - using FW bus power - if there is any little movement of the FW cable. This is both on the MK3 itself and on my computer. I ...

Ultralite firewire not detected OSX 10.12.4
I have the UL with firewire only. I have the latest - or last released - audio driver/app installed from Motu installed.
The UL powers up via FW but is not detected. I tried two different FW cables - one 400-800 and one 400-400 with an 400 to 800 adapter. Both yield the same results.

Motu Ultralite Firewire and Ableton Live dropouts (Mavericks
I'm running an 2011 MBP with 2.7 i7, 16gb ram, 256 SSD. Running Mavericks 10.9.5 I have an older Ultralite that is the firewire version only. When using Ableton live 9, I will occasionally get a brief moment where the audio drops out. It is not consistent in that it won't happen every X amount of ti...

Re: Motu Ultralite MK1 encoders: where to find replacements?
Maybe all the pots where bad but I removed them and attempted to measure the resistance with no success. These are encoders not typical pots with a given starting and stoping point. Such encoders doesn't rely on resistance it self but usually works using "Gray code" pulse protocol : it pu...

it (the encoder) turns indefinitely. Do you work for Motu?bayswater wrote:Hmm.. Is it really just a passive pot (as in potentiometer) with 24 detents? Probably not going to be easy to find the right one.
Hopefully a Motu rep can offer some input. Thanks though Bayswater for the replies.

Re: Motu Ultralite MK1 pots are bad: where to find replaceme
Maybe all the pots where bad but I removed them and attempted to measure the resistance with no success. These are encoders not typical pots with a given starting and stoping point. They are dented and have momentary push function. I ordered some pots from Mouser - looked VERY similar, just with lon...

Motu Ultralite MK1 encoders: where to find replacements?
First post. Hello! :woohoo: I've already emailed Motu tech support but with no luck. I have three pots on my Ultralite Mk1 firewire that are bad. I emailed Motu asking if they could tell me the part number for the pots - I dismantled my interface and found no markings on the pots. They said they cou...
