Hi, Graywolf! I haven't watched your video, so I'm taking a "shot in the dark": Could DP be receiving random "panning signals" from your attached MIDI controller? Does the behavior persist when "record" is disabled for the MIDI track?

I can confirm that this is correct in DP 9.12, at least for audio tracks. I don't know about MIDI tracks.

Thanks for the info, CharlzS! A take your answer as a "no", there will be no advantage in switching DP to 32 bit float before mixing down the audio tracks I already recorded while DP was in 24-bit mode.

If you've been using a regular mouse, you might consider switching to a trackball to use different muscles/fingers. I personally like Kensington's Orbit optical trackball. Most clicking is done with my thumb, but it also has a button for rightly-clicking which I do with my ring finger.
