Re: Falcon = MachFive 4
I'm glad to hear that UVI at least has responded to Mach5 users on KVR, even though they didn't really tell us anything. Both companies have handled this announcement, or transition (if that's what it is) poorly, IMHO. No use speculating further... <<shrug>>

UVI Falcon == MachFive?
I received an offer from UVI for a "new" software synth called Falcon ($349.00, on sale for $249). This is obviously a souped-up version of MachFive3. Falcon has some nice new features. It seems odd to me that UVI is offering a product that competes with a different version of software the...

Re: Multi-Output help please (THANK YOU!!)
I just spent several hours trying to figure out what MOTU (or is it UVI?) means when they describe an instrument as "multi-output!" and nowhere did I find the info you just gave. Seems they have defined a multi-out mapping for Star Drums EXACTLY as I wanted to do it! Thanks to you sir, and...

A modern "classical" piece by Dallapiccola, done in DP8
This: https://soundcloud.com/jduesenb/piccola-musica-notturna-luigi is a computer realization/orchestration of the 1954 composition, " Piccola Musica Notturna " by Luigi Dallapiccola. It is based on the original orchestral version, not on Dallapiccola's later small-ensemble arrangement. Th...

Control surface for DP8 - recommendations?
I've never used a control surface before with Digital Performer, but I think it's time for a (preferably) USB controller with as many ( at least 8 ) faders as can be crammed in. It's going to be mainly used to set levels, panning, and maybe some efx automation on DP - nothing very demanding or compl...

Re: Documentation..Lacking.
The Appendix A also says that documentation on the soundbanks that ship with M5 is available. Again... where is it? not on the DVD, and I can't find it on MOTU.com. Pointers appreciated.

Re: Why is the default sampling mode Stretch?
I'd still like to know, if anyone knows, **why** "Stretch" is the default sampling mode. I don't like this because I'd like to hear my original, unprocessed sample when I first drop it in. "Stretch" can produce a lot of artifacts; it's kind of annoying to have to be changing it b...

Re: Loading Kontakt Instruments
I was wondering about this also. According to the Mach5 manual, M5 can open Native Instruments .nki files, which are Kontakt samples supposedly. However, Mach5 3.14 won't open .nki files AFAICS. (I have Kontakt 5 Elements). Has anyone solved this? Not a big deal, but I'd like to be able to do this i...

Plugin Instr's not displayed in Bundles window (DP 7.24)??
This may be a noob question; I have just started working with various plug-in instruments in DP... So, I have a few plug-in instruments in a project: Kontakt 5, Reaktor 5, MOTU Proton, and UVI Workstation. There is one instance of each of these instruments in the project, and each instrument is driv...
