Re: Latency for Ultralite AVB in MainStage/Logic?
All interfaces are going to be about the same. The latency of the interface is negligible compared to that in Mainstage or any other software. It's the CPU/OS/DAW that is the major latency factor.

Just call MOTU and find out what it costs. They are probably a flat fee.

You haven't selected that output to be a monitor output in CueMix.STAXX wrote:The unit is at full volume, distorts the audio coming out of it and threatens to blow up any PA it's jacked into.

Re: 24Ao Mixer - Direct Outputs / Auxes?
It has 12 buses. 7 of them are auxes. Naturally a "channel direct output" is there by default because the MOTU mixer sits inbetween the physical input (or output) and the DAW, like any other interface with DSP. So the DAW track gets whatever has been done in the mixer. As I stated I'm not...

Re: New UltraLITE mk3 - need help
If you turn off the monitor selector, then your monitor volume is not assigned to any output, therefore that output becomes a regular full level line output just like any other. Yes it is by design. If you were monitoring 5.1, you need to be able to select the 6 output pairs for 5.1. If you use an e...

Re: Motu 24 Ai/Ao AVB Hardware inserts Pro Tools 10 question
I don't see why not.
All Pro Tools sees is ASIO or Core Audio. It doesn't know anything about AVB, or how many AVB devices you have.

No, you don't need that. Read my post again above. Your question has been answered.

Re: Voltage Regular in Rehearsal Room: 125v better than 115v
Underpower usually is worse than overpower -- especially for digital gear and computers, which tends to have smaller tolerances than analog gear. I'm really only focused on those aspects, due to having had some really bad experiences with under power, so haven't really entertained whether 115V &quo...

Re: Recording thru Motu Ultralite MK3
One place to start is to look at the connector and buy the cable that fits on the connector. Square-pegs-round holes kinda thing. You should stay digital. Use the coax RCA digital out of the mixer into the MOTU. That's a standard composite RCA video cable (the yellow ones). Even a red/white "au...

Re: hdx-sdi-pcie-card-adapter
HDMI is the standard, so if it says HDMI, that's the standard and implies compatibility.
As far as if a manufacturer implements the standard correctly, that's something many have to learn the hard way! I cannot say if MOTU and TV One are compatible, but one should assume that they are.

Usually components will have part numbers and identifiers on them and you can find them online. I'm sure they're common to all MOTU of that era.

Re: 4Pre W7 CueMIX doesn't work and awful noise
Sounds like the typical, dreaded, and nebulous Windows MOTU hell. Could be your wifi, LAN, USB, or graphics drivers or combo of those. Disable those in Device Manager, try older versions of them, etc. See here and many other old threads: http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=51640...
