tab as next soundbite shortcut changed ?
AFAICR, in S.E., if a soundbite is selected, pressing Tab used to make selection jump to next soundbite. Now pressing Tab makes selection jump to next+1 soundbite. But pressing alt+Tab makes selection jump to previous soundbite, just as it used to do. Command window still shows Tab as KEY 2 for *Mov...

Sorry for your bad day with Portal, James.
It's been ok here, on Monterey OS.
Hope you get it sorted out fast.

Re: DP encountered error -43. Show stopper. Any ideas?
[...]I am positive that Time Machine is not involved. It's really easy to see when TM just ran or if it's about to. The second that -43 pops, it and the Activity monitor are checked ASAP.[...] Not sure about what you mean, Mike. But, I can say that TM automatic backup is unchecked, and no more -43 ...

Shooting in the dark again, but narrowing may help:
- Could this behavior be related to Time Machine drive being an APFS volume, not a disk partition?
- Does this behavior affect any non-Monterey MacOS system?

Re: Ozone 9 in DP and bouncing question
AFAICT, you are doing right.
DP creates a 16bit file from 16bit audio.

Re: the cleanest compressor you can recommend
I've been there, Phil. And never been really pleased with any compressor (hardware or software). But I gave a (last) chance with Unisum, from Toneprojects.com Ghee! A tedious amount of time to tweak and build my own presets (4 of them now). Now, I'm totally pleased with this plug. My dreams about co...

Re: ikMultimedia ARC 4 Studio
Jut sayin', a Metric Halo app called SpectraFoo has a very deep analyser (update to new OS is on its way, actual is maxed with Mojave). A real learnin' curve, and for sure a time consumming process, but in the end great results. IMOE, being confident about what you hear in your studio is invaluable....

Re: ikMultimedia ARC 4 Studio
360 € here, and no digital input and no digital output! Is it just me, or is it a no-go? Yeah. It’s $299. When I said $220, that would be my price after I used my Ik multimedia bucks that I gave accrued. Ok James, I see. The price is not my only concern about ARC 4 Studio. In fact, I was much tempt...

Re: DP encountered error -43. Show stopper. Any ideas?
As Mike said.
Who knows?
I'm in Monterey too.
I had to turn off automatic backups in Time Machine.
I backup daily with TM, before turning computer down.
Still waiting for a fix or a better workaround.

Re: "Bounce-to-Disk" Again...
As Mike said, internal computing within DP is allways 32 bit float, even if you are mixing 16 bit files. All of DP plugins are 32 bit float. Which is great, for they never clip, whatever level they see. [Mike pointed to some exceptions. Among them is DP MW Limiter] Many third party plugins are not 3...

Re: V-Rack Playback Bug
In my projects VIs are always set within Vracks and I've never encountered this behavior.
Maybe you could get more help in this forum thru being more specific.
Which VI is involved in this trouble?
What is your *auxes and master bussing*?

Re: Optimum Mastering Peak Level?
Mostly I do not convert inside DP. I use Audiofinder instead (which uses lame encoder, too). If you're in doubt, just make a test with say a -0,3dB wav file, convert to mp3 and look at peak level : probably -0db, which means clipping to me. Second test with a -0,5dB wav file, convert to mp3 and look...

Re: Optimum Mastering Peak Level?
IMOE, converting wav files to mp3 will clip if *true peaks* are higher than -0,5dB.

Re: Custom key commands - a cautionary tale
I've been caught by this one a few years ago. F# assigned to a sequence.
The cure is delete the MIDI command. Fast and easy.
But I can't remember what action, or actions chain, dit set that command in my computer.
Things may appear as bugs, while they are unexpected features.
