Re: how to have editors "linked"
General automatic linking does not happen in DP. It is generally better to decide which windows are best suited for a task and stay with that one. But you can get a coordinated view of events in multiple windows in most instances if there is a need to see how changes in one window affect the view i...

how to have editors "linked"
Hi all, I'm on my last days of DP9 demo and considering buying it and switch definitively to DP from Logic...they're very different programs with very different workflows so at first i got a little lost, but I'm slowly understanding DP and starting to love it. I'm adjusting my workflow to DP and am ...

Re: hide keyswitches in quickscribe editor and other questio
Hi, i was able to sort out my previous questions by myself. there's a couple more i need to ask: 1) I built my fairly large template and thanks to the Custom Page Setup I built a very big virtual paper to fit all my tracks. My problem now it that when the Quickscribe page scrolls to the next one, th...

Re: how to hide keyswitches in quickscribe editor
thank you very much to everybody. Yes Logic makes it easy by choosing the appropriate range for every instrument. but putting the keyswitching notes to "playback only" did the trick, thanks! Since i'm just starting to try DP for the first time in a score oriented workflow, could i ask you ...

Quickscribe Questions
Hi, is there a way to hide keyswitches (usually very low and very high notes) to have a less cluttered Quickscribe window view?
i'm using the DP9 demo and see if it could suit my workflow for composing orchestral scores using VSL instruments.

When you go to read/ print the score, you have the "merge" command.
what is the "merge" command and how does it work?

Re: input different MIDI channels in the same track
You do need separate tracks for each channel, since MIDI tracks are organized by channel in DP. But as far as I can remember, it's pretty easy to have DP record on all of them at once and split them up by MIDI channel for you, so you can still do what you want to accomplish. Haven't done this in a ...

Re: input different MIDI channels in the same track
Changing tracks is as simple as using the up/down arrow on the Mac QWERTY kbd and you can assign MIDI keys to do that as well. That kind of covers that, just a small adaptation on the user end. You can also view multiple tracks simultaneously in DP, so even though the data is in different tracks, i...

Re: input different MIDI channels in the same track
thanks a lot for your quick reply... however i brought my oxygen at my friend's studio and we tried that but it didn't work... i set the input on "any" but when i change the channel on the keyboard it doesn't change it on DP maybe it has something to do with DP not recognizing this functio...

hi, i have a question about composing on Digital Performer and trying to understand if this is doable (i'm considering switching from Logic/Cubase to DP) question is: i compose using my Oxygen 88 Master Keyboard, which allows me to quickly change MIDI channels when i'm playing...this allows me to op...
