Just to clarify, I opted for a superior AD. Part of what brought me to this decision is that I wanted to wait for whatever Apple has in store beyond the 2.5 G5 (I've got a dual 1.4 MDD G4). IMHO, it's only worth it if your AD converter has an inferior anti-aliasing filter since this is where you're going to HEAR most of the difference. Bumping to 96kHz moves the Nyquist point way over the filter and so you have less potential for subharmonics to creep into your program. Look at it like...

Actually, repair permissions only affects files and directories that are listed in a catalog. For each of the files/directories in this catalog (the catalog contains only Apple's OS stuff I believe *), it compares owner/group and permissions with the current owner/group and permissions.
