MIDI Continuous Data Tracking

When playing MIDI back, notes only start when hitting a trigger point and volume only adjusts when hitting a an adjustment point. If you move the cursor to a place where there is continuous data but no data changes, you'll hear nothing or the audio will remain in it's last position and then jump to ...

Re: DP8 : No more Reverse plug-in?

Would someone mind emailing me the bundle? I'm in a rush after a hard drive died and the Reverse.bundle is nowhere to be found. Thanks!

Waveform Editor Normalization Anomaly

I'm working in DP7. I set up my own key binding commands for fast normalization of many audio clips, and while it's been a while since I've had to process a whole slew of them, I still use the commands despite a really frustrating bug which slows everything down: Opening audio in the waveform editor...

Re: Dropped MIDI notes

the DP 7.24 and 10.6.8 combo was probably the best since DP 5.13 and Leopard. I think DP8 is quickly approaching that kind of stability. That's great to hear – I jumped from 5.13 to 7.1 and was sorely disappointed, not only from the MIDI issues, but also when I realized the bit depth wasn't upgrade...

Re: Dropped MIDI notes

Gentlemen, thank you for your expertise – now I understand the casual nature of the "update" suggestions. I'm surprised this is a long known issue, especially a programmed one, since I spent hours with MOTU trying to fix it not long after 7's release, to no avail. Usually yes, I can work a...

Re: Dropped MIDI notes

I'm a little confused – I was hoping to get some help, not just hear "why haven't you upgraded yet?"

Are we assuming this is a build problem? I've never heard of anyone with something similar.

Re: Dropped MIDI notes

I'm in 7.24. I see no sense upgrading a broken product, and I need it to work now, not down the road after an upgrade.

Dropped MIDI notes

When MIDI notes of the same value extend for their full or near-full range, performer drops the next note in sequence simply ignoring playback. 1st Scenario: pencil in a MIDI 1/2 note, then copy it so you have 2 sequential halves; DP7 drops the second note and will not play it, either finishing the ...

Working with Odd Meter

I'm writing a project in 9/4 which performer displays on the grid and time ruler in divisions of 3s - 1/1, 1/4, 1/7, 2/1, etc. However, I'm not working in groups of 3s, but groups of 4s and 5s - is there anyway to adjust for that? It would be really helpful to keep myself synced to the actual odd be...

Re: Constant Crashes and Nokia QT

The guys at MOTU are telling me I'm jamming up against DP's 4 Gb limit (still in shock DP isn't 64 bit). I see your system is large - how have you gotten around that limit, and is the pain of doing so easier than switching to Logic?

Constant Crashes and Nokia QT

"About DP" brings up a window that reads "about Qt." Details below. I'm concerned one of my plugin's is hijacking DP. (readout pasted below) I switched to using 48 kHz instead of 44.1 recently, but had a horrible time of it. For some reason, DP randomly would reset all my instrum...

Re: Eastwest Play 3 and Kontakt 4 empty, 44.1 vs 48

Yes, I had an autosave, but that one was destroyed as well. In fact, it's happening on another file too, but the autosave is intact. Really need to figure this thing out! I definitely think it's related to the 44.1 vs 48 issue.
