Little Fugue In G Minor

Please allow me to present Bach's Little Fugue in G-Minor, played from Jeff Bigler's MIDI transcription using two organ patches from Mach Five 2 in MOTU's Digital Performer.

Re: Countoff Question!

If you want to punch in exactly two bars after playback starts, use the punch in/out markers in the sequence editor. You enable it with the button directly below the play button in the control panel, then drag the up/down arrows in the SE ruler to your desired punch in/out points.

Re: streaming live audio (me playing) over the internet poss

I routinely route application audio into and out of DP using Soundflower. Download it at http://cycling74.com/soundflower-landing-page/ . You will need a solid understanding of how bundles work in DP to hook everything up. You will also need the ability to assign the audio input on your video stream...

That's what I was getting at. A distorted pseudo-vocal formant does not sound the same as a pseudo-vocal formant applied to a distorted signal. In other words, the amp and the wah only interact when the wah is placed ahead of the amp in the signal chain.

Re: Wah Wah pedal in 7.0

@Gaz: That's a good summary of how it's done, and I just verified it with my keyboard. I'll add two tidbits: First tidbit: You can record automation for the sweep position on the audio track. Just flip the "Pedal CC #" switch back to the "Ramp" position after you finish the take....

Re: Wah Wah pedal in 7.0

You need to route MIDI CC messages into the plug-in's MIDI input to control the rocker position and switch. You create a MIDI track with it's output assigned to the Wah Pedal's MIDI input (don't forget to record arm the MIDI track), and select the controllers you are using from the plug-in's UI. I'v...

I used to quit and restart Mail when this happens, but now I just switch folders and then switch back to 'Inbox' and the flag goes away.

Re: Mainstage 2, Ableton Live, UltraliteMK3

I had another thought (in the form of a question): Have you looked into using AudioDesk? It's essentially Digital Performer without MIDI sequencing or the latest plug-ins. It's included for free with MOTU audio interfaces. The "Bundles" window allows you to set up just about any routing co...

Re: Mainstage 2, Ableton Live, UltraliteMK3

From your diagram, it looks like Soundflower is your best bet. You could try making physical input->output patches on the back of the device. For example, one output pair could be looped back via S/PDIF on the UL. Above and beyond this, analog is your best bet if you must do your routing "outsi...

Re: So when are you going to upgrade to DP8??

B3 story: yes, that was a beast to lug up the stairs. Our B3 player had a knack for drinking and passing out on his keyboard at the end of the night, and many times we had to haul it out for him. One night he was weaving home and the door on the back of his van opened up. He woke up the next day to...

Re: ProVerb doesn't recognize some IRs

Have you checked that your input and output channel configurations match the IR file(s)? ProVerb removes from the menu IRs that it cannot load, but it will still accept them if you drag-and-drop them on the plug-in.

Re: Live Room G - Crackling on live audio input

When I've heard clicks and pops coming from Live Room|G, it usually meant that I had overloaded the CPU. Increasing the buffer size usually cured the problem. Alternately, temporarily disabling some VIs and FX, or bouncing/freezing tracks, will free up some computing power if you cannot tolerate any...

Re: DP on the bench for tech use

Glad to see someone else using DP to automate their bench! If you have a MOTU interface, CueMix FX has several analyzers available. I use the FFT analysis, oscilloscope and XY plot windows on an almost daily basis. I've used Faber's SignalScope in the field as a quick reference for mitigation of Lar...
