Re: MOTU, you broke my heart.

Under Windows 7, have you tried rolling back the Firewire card's drivers to the Legacy drivers? This was one of the first things I tried, after reading a suggestiong on the RME site about doing this. Before switching to the legacy drivers I would constantly get BSODs and complete freezes of the sys...

Re: MOTU 896HD and windows 7

I haven't had any success with my MOTU 828mk3 and Windows 7 over Firewire, but it seems to work fine with Windows XP. Are you able to try with an install of XP and see how well it works? I also noted you tried some third-party 1394 drivers, but have you tried the Windows 7 OHCI Legacy Driver? Withou...

Re: New Driver 4.0.4.3553

I haven't had any luck with this driver version. On a fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit, I get intermittent drop-outs and noises every minute or so. This includes simple playback from iTunes etc. On Windows XP 32-Bit, having the CueMix FX window open causes an unusably high ASIO load, making recordi...

Re: MOTU, you broke my heart.

In the end, building a wintel system that mirrors the stability as an audio platform that OSX does requires a system that ends up being comparably priced due to the higher end components required. While I agree to an extent, in my specific case I don't believe the hardware to be the issue. The syst...

Re: NEW STICKY FOR DRIVER DOWNLOADS!!

Hi all, After my trials and tribulations in getting my new 828mk3 working on Windows, I have constructed a concise list and links to all of all the driver versions I am aware of. Some of these were found on forum posts, some were not. I believe these are the only drivers to currently be available on...

Re: MOTU, you broke my heart.

That's great! Perhaps you should tell us how you did it, you know? Surely someone else might benefit from your experience, and you may just save someone out there from madness :) I'm in the process of writing up an end-to-end guide of things to check and do to get digital audio working well under W...

Re: MOTU, you broke my heart.

I'm just going to say that whenever I've built a PC running Windows I've done research on what combination of software, hardware and drivers will work. After that, problems still arise. Johnnytucats, thanks for taking the time to reply. I absolutely agree with you. But I've never had as many issues...

MOTU, you broke my heart.

I really didn't want my first post here to be negative. I tried to think of all the ways I could put a positive spin on things, make myself seem like a functioning member of society rather than the surly drunk at the end of the bar that no one wants to talk to. But I couldn't do it. My heart is brok...
