Re: BPM 1.5.3. is out
I had completely given up on BPM and I only discovered the 1.5.3 update by accident (why don't MOTU email their users?) BUT I have to report that 1.5.3 seems to have solved the terrible CPU performance, the export audio crashing, and generally works really well (osx / logic) . I have not tested any ...

Re: big CPU use when bpm is in logic
i hardly use BPM in logic now due to this memory/cpu issue. i really like a lot of aspects of BPM but MOTU and UVI are, in my opinion, killing it through lack of support and performance improvements. i've got some UVI soundbanks which run fine with their UVI player, so I suspect (could be wrong) tha...

Re: send bpm parts to different destination in logic
have you created the additional output tracks in logic? you need to create them first before being able to select them as destinations in BPM. so you create the 'multi output' version BPM instrument and a mixer channel appears, and then on this channel there is a '+' sign that you click and the extr...

Re: BPM Update
good news about not cutting down racks but actually the dev says: 1.1.7 will continue to be available but it will not be supported (no updates and some future product may not work on it). so the old UVI Player will not be supported, although they do offer to help sort any problems. so technical supp...

Re: BPM Update
nearly a year and a half to release an update - that must have been a truly troublesome bug! maybe they had the work experience student working on the update :D in other news UVI have just released a v2 UVI Player that has apparently reduced the features from v1 rather than enhanced them?? :? as com...

Re: BPM 1.5 upgrade... bad timing?
reading posts by one of the UVI developers on another forum it seems like the update will be 1.5.1 so i assume it will be free. but you never know... and it seems like it might be quite soon, but again, who knows. as for reasons why the update has not arrived sooner (well over a year), well i guess ...

Re: BPM waves sound quality after exporting
i don't see why exporting in 16bit is going to make it sound thin and lose the stereo?
this does not sound like the correct solution to the problem.
have you tested this yet?

Re: BPM Update
UVI have told me by email that the BPM update should be available at the end of October, but i guess its in MOTU's hands.

Re: How good is the factory Library of sounds in BPM?
in case you don't know this already, the BPM sounds are in UVI soundbank format - which means you don't get folders full of wav/aif files that you can easily drop into other apps. you need to use BPM or the free UVI player to access the sounds from within the app. the sounds and patterns are easy en...

well at least they are working on it.
i thought that had dropped it to be honest.
sounds like we'll be lucky to see the update this year...

Re: BPM Update
MOTU have behaved in such a thoroughly unprofessional manner over updating BPM 1.5 that nothing would surprise me. We might never ever get an update, or we might be asked for substantial money to upgrade to version 2. Who knows... The most unlikely scenario is that they put out a 1.5.1 version that ...

MOTU are probably just waiting for the accounts department to let them know how much they can charge for the 1.6 upgrade.

Re: What would you like to see in the next BPM 1.5?
for me i would like to see these: - fully implemented, bug free, unlimited undo/redo - sort out note repeat, doesn't work on mine at all, appears to be a bug - improve CPU usage, works very poorly in logic and i hear is not too good on other platforms - chromatic pads - personally i would like to se...
