Removing word clock lead.
Really dumb question but how the f*ck do you get the word clock lead off? I had need to use it for the first time ever the other day and despite seeing how easily it comes off the other bit of gear no amount of twisting or whatever will remove it from the 828 mk3, it just seems stuck. Is it push in ...

Re: How do record audio from the browser?
I see your point. I suspect all that has nothing to do with the MOTU. Maybe creating an aggregate device with the Mac audio and the MOTU might do what you want, otherwise I'm out of ideas. Someone cleverer than me will be along to help you shortly, I'm sure.

Re: How do record audio from the browser?
IIRC you have to do a real hardware loop back, with, you know, like, cables and stuff. I had to go and rummage in the basement to find them. Then just set your ins and outs as required. Alternatively, Audio Hijack might do what you want.

Re: How do I record what I hear?
If anyone else wants to do this the secret is to use the 'return assign' function, set it to main outs then you can record the returned mix in Audio Hijack or whatever, inputs 13 & 14 IIRC.

Re: How do I record what I hear?
BlackHole lets you route up to 16 channels from one app to another, even over Big Sur and Apple Silicon. Mac only. https://existential.audio/blackhole/ It is the successor to SoundFlower for which development has ceased (but still works in Catalina sorta kinda'). There's a U of Texas board that man...

Re: How do I record what I hear?
I had considered that but all my inputs are spoken for plus I'd have to constantly mirror what I'm listening to onto the duplicate mix tab which is a level of organisation I can only dream of, I'd simply forget after a while.

How do I record what I hear?
I'm sure this is incredibly stupid but due to genetic deficiencies or being dropped on my head at some point I just can't seem to figure it out, I have loads of mixes on the tabs of Cuemix and the 828 Mk3, run Cubase and Live, send audio off to samplers and the like but all I want to do is just reco...

Re: Monitor level knob
I've seen that Big Knob thing by Mackie but I don't need monitor switching and want to keep my set up as simple as I can, I just want a BLOODY GREAT KNOB marked 'volume'. ideally with a sucker on the base so it sticks to the desk. Even better is also having a Mono button that checks mono capability...

Re: Monitor level knob
Not directly answering your question (I'm unsure if there is a product that does what you ask), have you considered a Monitor Controller between the output of your 828 and your speakers? Assuming you are using the analog outputs on the 828, this is a solution that can provide other benefits, like s...

Monitor level knob
Hi there.
I have an 828 mk3 and Cuemix, is there any way to have a big fat knob on my desk that always controls the overall monitor output in cuemix at the top right?
Thanks.

Thanks, I'll try the ultra cautious approach and see how it goes.
