sorry about my absense here guys but as you can see with the 1.1.2 update, we've been busy fixing stuff and now it seems most DP users can rejoice in VCC bliss! Let me know how its doing for you guys.

Seems we still have to fix a few things.. we've just purchased new systems with various hardware and software configs so that it can help us reproduce more system specific bugs. Just a note guys.. we just uploaded the 1.1 version into the USERS area.. and this fixes the MAS wrapper issue so now you can use the current version without any problems. Let me know how it does for you!

The new 1.06 should have fixed the CPU issue btw.. please check and post results.

Right, you cannot change the summing math in DP or any daw via a plugin.. my point was that rather than transparently flow past digital zero.. the VCC mixbuss's modeled amplifiers will start to saturate and clip and you'll hear what sounds like an analog reproduction of console breakup.

you're right, there is well over 1000db of headroom in a floating point mixbuss but in order to make a final mix you'll not want to go past 0db FS. Digital distortion will happen in a fixed integer mixbuss.. My point was that putting the VCC Mixbuss plugin on the first insert will add nonlinearities...

Now I'm convinced more on the concept... thanks for the info. There's seems to be an inherent anomaly with hitting the buss hard in a DAW and this theory makes sense but as an insert, does it do something with the math going on within MAS or what is it that gives the buss matrix a more open soundst...

Hi Steven, Couldn't one get this sound post to printing in digital? If I have a lunchbox to get that sound, couldn't digital reproduce or capture that? What would the plug induce ( post ) that printing the analogue source from the gate not achieve? Just curious about what this plug can do to a file...
