Re: Music Notation in DP 7 vs sibelius and finale
I tried that Musecore and it's great! Made sure it was totally legal and legit and glad it was. I never compose music that way but it's great when writing a music lesson book for sure. Thanks for introducing me to that. On my budget, it was perfect!!

Re: Music Notation in DP 7 vs sibelius and finale
I would only be going to level 4 in the book series so that complication of sheet music would be what most people use everyday in the real world. I saw the scaled down version of Finale called Print Music. Do you think that would suffice? I could afford that now if it would be.

Re: Music Notation in DP 7 vs sibelius and finale
hmmm. Thanks for the headsup about that. The good thing is that I'm doing Piano Book 1 so the music is very simple and I'm really experienced at Photoshop so I could probably get away with using it for the first book until I can get some revenue from it to afford $450 for Finale. I will definitely w...

Music Notation in DP 7 vs sibelius and finale
I was wondering is the notation DP 7 has to offer as usable as sibelius and finale or is it limited? Can I add all of the music expressions and stuff like that in DP like I could in the other software packages like sibelius and finale? Thanks. I'm writing a music book which is why I would need the s...

Re: moving my Komplete Virtual instruments folder question..
ok, I found all of the samples in the "shared" folder on my Mac. If I move those over to my 2nd drive and delete the ones on my main drive, will it just ask me in DP 7 where they are and everything will be ok file-wise?

Re: moving my Komplete Virtual instruments folder question..
I already mentioned what you can move. Whether you move them is up to you, but I would at least move the sample sets for Kontakt. I was just a bit confused since Kontakt has this thing in the folders of sample folders and multi folders inwhich a file combines all of the samples needed to create the...

Re: moving my Komplete Virtual instruments folder question..
Hey everyone, Just wondering, I just got Komplete 7 this morning and noticed it never gave me an option to store all of my instruments on a second drive so now DP is going to want to run it on my main drive which stresses it out if I have to many tracks open in DP. Can I move these instruments fold...

RAM and Digital Performer 7.22u questions
Hey everyone. I have a Macbook Pro i5 and right now I have 4GB of RAM that came with it but was thinking of getting 8GB soon. Is DP 7 a RAM hog or more processor based? I use a ton of virtual instruments and just purchased the Komplete series from Native Instruments which is mostly what I used along...

Hey thanks. I learn new things every day it seems.n2mpujack wrote:You don't need a hub - just daisy chain the drive into the interface or vice versa and then into the computer.

Re: firewire hard drive hub with streaming instruments
Oh ok. I thought you could only daisy chain harddrives to harddrives, not an audio interface. Hmmm. Thanks for the help.
