Re: Digital Performer: connecting a Mio MIDI interface to a Kensington TB4 docking station.
I´ve been in contact with Kensington support. They advised me to disconnect everything and restart the unit. Now it works again.

Re: Digital Performer: connecting a Mio MIDI interface to a Kensington TB4 docking station.
Thanks for the advice. The problem is definitely caused by the Kensington SD5700T docking station. I tried to connect a USB synth directly to the Kensington´s USB ports but it does not show up in the Audio MIDI Setup on my Mac . When I connect it to two other docks , an old Belkin TB2 dock and the S...

Re: Digital Performer and the pCloud cloud storage
Hi Mike, thanks for the explanation. We were actually discussing Dropbox in the last posts, not pCloud. pCloud is similar to Dropbox, but too slow in my opinion. It´s good for backups though. So let me explain again. Last year I had a MacMini with a 250GB drive. Because of the small drive I had Drop...

Re: Digital Performer and the pCloud cloud storage
Everything worked perfectly fine before these restrictions came. Now you are forced to buy even more expensive Mac machines. What will be next? Apple machines that can only run Apple software?

Digital Performer: connecting a Mio MIDI interface to a Kensington TB4 docking station. SOLVED.
I have a MIDI issue partly related to Digital Performer. In my studio I have three "junction boxes" connected to my Mac Mini M1: the MOTU 16A audio interface, the MIO XM MIDI interface, and recently the Kensington SD-5700T Thunderbolt 4 docking station. The 16A is connected to the latter d...

Have you checked the VST and Components folders? You mentioned VST3 but if there are VST2 and AU versions, that's where you will find them.

Re: Digital Performer and the pCloud cloud storage
That is changing with the new 164.4..7914 update, currently being rolled out slowly. Right now, it's Mac only, Monterey 12.5 or later and many users haven't seen it yet. With this, your files stay in the Cloud — period. They can be made available offline to your System Drive and only if you have en...

Re: MOTU Discovery not discovering my 16A
Sorry to hear of your troubles. My 828es has been rock-solid with my Mac Studio under both Monterey and Ventura here. Just to be sure... Are 16A firmware and MOTU Pro Audio drivers up to date? Have you tried different start up routines (order of equipment startup)? Have you tried reaching out to MO...

Re: MOTU Discovery not discovering my 16A
The 16A is not showing up in the Audio MIDI Setup in OSX Ventura. It´s like it´s not Class Compliant anymore. I can only open Pro Audio Control if I use an additional Ethernet cable. And I still get the message "No connected AVB devices". I must have restarted my computer hundreds of times...

Re: how to delete plug-ins?
You can leave them alone or go to the VST3 folder and delete them manually. The default path is (Macintosh HD)/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 Sort them by name and you'll find them quickly. Move to Trash, enter your Admin password if asked and delete. I tried to use the same method to get rid of all t...

Re: Digital Performer beat clock bug?
So this seems to be caused by a bug in DP 11. MIDI beat clock works fine in DP9, but not in DP11.

Digital Performer 11 beat clock bug?
I have connected a vintage Korg KMS-30 MIDI/DIN synchronizer to my Mio XM MIDI interface. Digital Performer 11 is the master in this setup. I can see that the KMS is receiving MIDI tempo from DP. A Roland TR-08, connected to the MIDI Out of the KMS, is also playing in sync with DP, but DIN Sync, whe...

MIDI start/stop command?
My old Yamaha CX5 music computer had a few very useful commands to start and stop external MIDI gear like a drum machine within a sequence. Msst for MIDI start and Mdoff for MIDI stop. I’ve been unable to find similar commands in DP. I can only start a drum machine from bar 1. Any info on this?

Performer for Macintosh Classic II
I am looking for an old version of Performer that could be installed on a Macintosh Classic II with System 7.
This is for a museum set up. I had it on a floppy in the early 90´s, but I cannot find it now.
Anyone?
