Turning Cue Mix OFF

I am using a MOTU Ultralite Mk III, and Cubase.

I am using only Virtual INstruments, samples etc. I want to process the sound entirely within Cubase, and not use Cue Mix at all.

Is there any way to turn Cue Mix OFF? Or, if none of the Cue Mix DSP is ON, then its not processing anything?

Re: Recording sound from internet to Ultralite

Hello Hotshot - sorry, I missed your reply earlier. Thanks for the suggestion. I got the internet stream to record ok now this way, but the level ks so small, just a thin line of audio graphic in soundforge. Ultralite seems to be set max in the mixing section. How can i get the level up?

Recording sound from internet to Ultralite

I have a MOTU Ultralite, Windows 7, and Sound Forge.

I am trying to record sound from internet into Sound Forge, but cannot get it to detect the sound and record it.

Can anyone advise settings I should check?

Should all users update always to the new drivers? Or only if we are experiencing problems?

Re: Ultralite as a normal soundcard. MP3, cd etc.

Sorry to sound so negative yesterday. I had so many problems setting up the Ultralite, with absolute **** service from the support, that to finally get it to work only to have my head blown off ... aghhhh!! Anyhow, the sound I get for PC sounds and CDs is fine, and (as I said ;-)) very loud. Sounds ...

Re: Ultralite as a normal soundcard. MP3, cd etc.

Tinny and weak? Mine is head-blowingly LOUD.

Good luck getting any answers on here. And, oh, don't bother with the MOTU support, its the worst - by some distance - support in the business. Bar none.

ULTRALITE Mk3 - output to loud from pc

The output of my Ultralite Mk3 is too loud from my pc. Playing a CD or a WAV file through Windows media player, or a web site with streaming audio, it needs to have volume set almost to zero to avoid blowing my monitors. Windows Meia player for example has to be set at volume of just 8, to be comfor...

Firewire PCI card Belsinnki F5U502 - OK for Ultralite?

I'm building a PC for audio use and finding out about PCI firewire cards compatibility with MOTU products is very difficult.

Does anyone know if the Belkin F5U502 uses a TI chipset?

Re: Ultralite installation problem

Thanks Chappo for the reply. I'll check out the chipset (not by my laptop right now). Checking your other link sounds like running a working laptop together with my DAW is not really a good idea (!) - possibly getting a new stand alone PC just for music is probably a sensible option. Do you know any...

Ultralite installation problem

I'm having a problem installing my Ultralite Mk3, if anyone can help me with this? I am using 1.60 GHz laptop PC with Windows XP, 1.87 GB RAM. I connect the Ultralite to the laptop with a 6-pin to 4-pin firewire cable. I have installed the Ultralite up-to-date software/drivers as per manual but cann...

Agh, sorry to hear that. I hope its fixed soon!

I got the cable and it seemed to work, but I had other installation problems ... that's another story which I posted seperately.

Hope we can both be up and running soon ...

Re: Firewire 6 or 4 pin - Ultralite

Thanks Tom.

If I understood right, the Ultralite will work with a 6-pin (from Ultralite) to 4-pin (PC), but will still need plugging in to get power?

Hope you sort out your probelm ...
