Re: Finally Back

I see MIDI life crisis is still here!! ah the refreshing voice of reason!! Glad to see you are still here!!

The use of "man" is fine by me... "I am that I am " sorta sounds a bit to formal.. lol

good to see the banter is still active!!

:woohoo:

Finally Back

It has been some time since I was last on the forum due to family health issues which are now resolved. My studio is primarily Windows based around 8 core systems I still have my Mac and that is also in use. Some will remember that I designed and built the BPM controller hardware a while ago and was...

Re: Basics of BPM Sequencer

Hi Boris

I have been away for sometime and am now just getting back into the swing of things here as the studio is back up and running, Life has a way of taking an unexpected path sometimes.

If you are still looking for help let me know and I will try and help you with this.

Re: Motu Timepiece and Monomachine sysex

Find a different sysex librarian hat allows change of port transmission speed, lower the speed and it will work. The buad rate is too high and its falling over itself to recieve all that data.

Re: Motu Traveller firewire not working

You see this is what annoys me, no not the damage but the fact that these chips have equivelents that can be mounted into PLCCS sockets. This would mean that an I.C replacement is simple, the user or an electonics engineer can pull the old one out easily and then press/insert the replacement. Now a ...

Re: Motu Microbook II

I still have not heard anything back yet, I will try again later on. In the meantime i have built a usb reset button into a custom usb link cable for my friend, after booting he presses the button and this resets the bus and the microbook is picked up.

As soon as i know something I will let you know.

Re: Traveler not detected on Lion

It sounds like the data bus on the firewire chip is down, the power is bussed of on a different "path", this is why it is being powered up. If it is a standard firewire chip for example as was the one in the old 828 interface then it is possible that it can be removed via I.R rework statio...

Re: Motu Microbook II

My production partner just bought one of the new microbook 2 interfaces and is having the same issue with his 2011 i7 17" macbook pro. Upon a reboot the internal relay clicks and all the led's on the interface light up and stay lit, the only way to make the interface work is to unplug the usb c...

I deleted the past two posts as they were meaningless. I will contact the U.V.I guys for you and see what they say, Hopefully I will get an answer for you shortly. If this is something that they can replicate then it is something they can seek to fix. Hopefully if a fix is needed it will be along qu...
