Re: High Sierra worth all the potential conflicts to upgrade
Ah ha...exactly what I wanted to know. Sounds like there’s no reason to move from Yosemite.

High Sierra worth all the potential conflicts to upgrade?
Before I dive in, wanted to hear from those of you that use it and can let me know if it's of a significant benefit.

Re: Good things coming soon!
Yep. 9.02. Have had a couple crashes, and the automation bug is bothersome....proc performance enhancement would be great since I use VI's a lot. You running 9.02? If not, you should be. Some are having some problems with it, but I guess it depends on what features you use regularly. It's been very ...

Re: Good things coming soon!
Why didn't MOTU support tell me that? I have not seen the major automation line bug fixed, nor other things people mentioned here. Support guy specifically said all these updates, and bug fixes, are coming, but aren't there now. I've been in the loop checking all the time for updates, and working on...

Good things coming soon!
I received a reply from support recently; "There are several developments underway for DP9, which were announced at NAMM earlier this year. Most notable of these is a drastic increase in processing efficiency, but there will, of course, be multiple other bug fixes and improvements". The de...

Re: Help showing automation on a MIDI track!
It's been a long time since this was reported to MOTU, by many users....but, no update yet. I could sure use reliable automation, like v7 had. Here's something weird... So I came to this thread looking for information about snapshot automation problems.. my snaps are not snapping for some tracks and...

Re: Going back to 8.07 from 9.02
How I long for the stable days of DP7 & Snow Lep.....but time marches on and crashing happens. How disappointing :o( I never used to have *any* crashes. Such a terrible sinking feeling when you're immersed in creative mode and have to totally change your mindset and deal with rebuilding a track,...

Re: Opening a project, Omnisphere multi often comes up blank
I suspect your right. I also wonder if the other quirk I encounter often, is an Omni 2 bug. I get a hesitation for a couple seconds, randomly, whereby attempting to adjust any parameter in DP freezes. It's almost as if the app or system, or processing of Omni is checking something in the background ...

Re: Opening a project, Omnisphere multi often comes up blank
2.... I have saved the multi's as well, but had some weirdness with that too. Omnisphere 1 or 2? Omni 1 been working okay here so far (knocks on wood). One thing I do do as insurance is also do a save inside Omnisphere of the multi so I have it as a backup (especially if I want to use that same mult...

Opening a project, Omnisphere multi often comes up blank
Most of the time, Omni's patches are empty, when I re-open a project in 9.02. I have to manually set up the multi again. This does not happen with other VI's I have. They all load perfectly. Also, all the MIDI performance data is still in tact....it's just that none of the patches are remembered.......

Re: Help showing automation on a MIDI track!
Yes...it's amazing too think that I have actually been looking at a replacement. After all the years of stable operation, something has changed. I will hope they have a maintenance release, asap. If not, I guess an era has come and gone....on to another DAW :o( The next several months will be import...

Re: VI not responding to volume in mixer
I always had excellent performance with 10.6.8 and DP 7.24. I'm considering going back, but I'd prefer for, bug free, stability to magically appear in 10.10 and DP9.

Do you like to wait and mix the entire album, or.....
or.....mix each tune as each one is done? I've tended to wait until all the tunes are recorded, then shift into a mix mode and do them one after another.....but, I was wondering what the consensus is on this. I had a thought that it might be good to mix as each tune gets completed.

Re: VI not responding to volume in mixer
Great! That worked. Thanks Rick. Have you encountered anomalies whereby, an Omni Multi won't load properly? Or, you open a project and you have to manually re-assign all the patches? Try MIDI Learn, Control Click on the Fader in Omnisphere and you should get a menu, one of the choices is MIDI Learn ...
