nice! we parents need more of this quality & creative music for our kids. "Buttons & Bows" is hilarious! Thanks, Karl -- the funniest part of the song isn't even in the snippet. Here's the lyric... BUTTONS AND BOWS Buttons and bows and snaps and zippers Pieces of velcro keep your ...

I can't remember using any brass on the album except for the solo in the first song, but that's not in the snippet I provided on the website. I was talking about the end of "Rainbow" on the website. Ah... I forgot. That was an EWQLSO solo trumpet. Very nice sample -- it really brought som...

Very nice, I might have my wife buy it for my kid. What organ did you use? and Brass? Gee, I hope I give the right answers... :D Organ = B4 (Native Instruments, which is one of the best things they ever did, IMO). I can't remember using any brass on the album except for the solo in the first song, ...

I just released a children's album

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJvJGQtAqvM www.VeryHelpfulSongs.com Hi friends -- I just released my first album, a children's album, all recorded and mixed on DP. The pianos are Ivory, the drums are Brushed Artistry, the basses are from the Garritan Jazz and Big Band rompler, and the guitars, mando...

Doh. That's a good one too.

You could also use a MIDI realtime Plug to reassign the volume to a random unused CC though.
BINGO. Great idea -- thanks!

completely disable the (MIDI) mixing board?

Is there a way to completely disable the mixing board? DP issues a MIDI volume command that corresponds to each MIDI track's mixer lever. Can this function be disabled? I'd like to play 2 sounds with a device group without zeroing out their relative balance.

Thanks.

I think the Yamaha action is the best. I tried a lot of different options and settled on the Yamaha digital piano with the lowest amount of features (I forget the model number, it was $500 at GC) and a second small keyboard with sldiers and wheels -- I needed a master keyboard setup for my studio. Y...

Any other suggestions from other members?

Not only is he competent, but he's made some really gutsy music too. American Girl (from his debut), Listen to Her Heart, Here Comes My Girl, The Waiting... are f'ing great songs, great records, and great performances. That's just a slice.

OT: Please help me find a MIDI processor for live use

Hi gang. I'm trying to find a unit that will hold all of the program changes I need per song so that I can make a patch change on the unit and each synth in my rig will be sent a PC as well as the routings and mappings changing as I need them. I guess I'm looking for a unit with lots of MIDI ins and...

Let me be the first to recommend taht you upgrade to Kontakt 3 and try the guitars in there. Much better. If you don't use MachFive, then the K3 upgrade is a no-brainer since it comes with the same VSL symphonic library that MachFive bundles. I've found the K3 sounds to pretty damn usable, especiall...
