Re: MOTU M4: Adjust Output 3/4 Levels!
You could send your master to the 3/4 via an AUX that you would mute, and control the level of Klasik 2020 with the fader of the AUX. Other then that, getting an external monitor controller is in this case a less cumbersome solutions, with a volume knob and gain staging for each monitor to have them...

Re: A divorce... of sorts
Yes. The GUI is strange. I love DP's workflow in general. Hopefully some fo those things will find their way into it. I used chunks all the time, but they can't be nested within a master sequence in a movie project for example, and the song functionality of DP never appealed to me. So sub-projects i...

Re: A divorce... of sorts
I changed my pricing policy about 30 years ago. I always get the highest price, but you have to be able to deliver based on the the Golden Rule in Hollywood. You only get to pick two: Good Fast Cheap I always deliver "good." I always deliver "fast." I never deliver cheap. Cheap ...

Re: A divorce... of sorts
I have recently begun offering a price range for my services. I am very pleased with the result. I either get the middle ground or the highest. I paid the lower price for Reaper as I misunderstood the gross revenue means total income and not the net income. I mistake I will correct shortly :) The fo...

Re: A divorce... of sorts
How does Reapér handle picture? Can you have multiple sequences in a single project? Video is handled like audio. It can also be edited within the sequence just like audio, with fades, effects etc. You can have multiple sequences via the sub-project. A subproject is a nested sequence. Whereas in DP...

A divorce... of sorts
I had been using DP for over 25 years. During this time it has been my companion to hundreds of projects, songs, albums, film scores and all manner of audio work. A year ago I started using Reaper out of interest. In many ways it is way less refined than DP, but there were a few things that sped up ...

Thanks for the update. I was also wondering. I love that software. Use it almost every day.

Ok... I was hoping for a link to a 4TB NVMe based Thunderbolt 3 drive. I’ve not heard of any and don’t think they exist – yet? Closest I know is one of these: https://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/TB3EX4M2SL/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shoppingengine&utm_campaign=googlebase&gclsrc=aw.ds...

Mac mini 2018 vs Mac Pro 2013 6 core
Hi
I am considering swapping Mac Pro 2013 for a Mac mini. Main reason is using the new TB NVME drives for my sample library (around 4TB). Has anyone here had a chance to compare the two in that respect or otherwise?

Re: NAMM NEWS - DP 10 - It's Here!
I got a response from MOTU - no particular work has been done in that regard.BKK-OZ wrote:Has anything been mentioned about better support for ambisonic plugins?
(Addressing multiple inputs, saving audio files in ambisonic file formats.)
I suppose some of that might come from VST3 support.

I'm afraid I will need to call you on that :D. So... what does it take to make a perfect cup of Italian coffee? At home, we use those Italian st...

Re: NAMM NEWS - DP 10 - It's Here!
Has anything been mentioned about better support for ambisonic plugins? (Addressing multiple inputs, saving audio files in ambisonic file formats.) I suppose some of that might come from VST3 support. This is a big one for me too and I will be shortly asking that question :) Are you producing any a...

Re: Please recommend a great audio recorder for the field...
I have invested recently in the Zoom F8 and a Rode NT-FS1 Ambisonic Mic. I will let you know how that goes and can send you example recordings if needed. In fact, I also have a question. From what I can see, DP doesn't support 4 channel tracks and busses. I would need that in order to use the Rode a...

Re: Twice as fast
It would seem that, unfortunately in my case, this isn’t a straight up 2-1 ratio and there are also other little noises in the audio which makes me think the problem is more complex. I sent an extract to Motu, and perhaps they will be able to help. Fingers crossed. This was one in a life time sessio...
