Re: Coloring different CC's within MIDI Track
Yup! Its called "set continuous data color", you can find it in the View/Colors menu, or map it to a keystroke in the commands page. Just highlight any of the points on the cc data you want to change first, then the "set continuous data color" command will open up a color picker ...

Re: Custom patch names for VI's
I think I understand what you are trying to do but I have to say it's a little confusing ☺ Maybe you can achieve this with a device group pointed at the kontakt instrument, although I have no idea how to edit the patch list anyway. My thinking is that by using a device group you may be able to have ...

Re: Using DP for Live Backing Tracks (Stems or Mix?)
I wish I new more about the phantom power issue. I always figured there was some sort of protection from this in most gear but I have to admit I'm a noob with it comes to the live environment. Every time I've given a live sound guy my 1/4 line level outs I go thru DI's. Not really for the phantom po...

Re: Using DP for Live Backing Tracks (Stems or Mix?)
Hey James! I thought I'd share this thing I just built for a band I produced. It's a full redundant playback system. The Radial SW8 has -10 outs that can be plugged right into a stage box. It also has mirrored TRS +4 outs on the back that I feed to a line mixer for the drummers headphones. I know in...

Re: Automatically create Crossfades on edit
This is what I came up with using Quickeys. I'm sure there are multiple ways of achieving this. I'm using i-beam tool, Auto Rewind, Link Selection to Memory & this quickeys shortcut. Hope it gives you some ideas! http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r583/dbawmp/SNIPPY%20DO%20DA%20SHORTCUT_zpsenmt...

using 2x 828x's together
Is anyone using 2 of the 828x’s via thunderbolt together on one computer? I’m having a big issue making it work with my MAC Pro 6,1. I have three identical systems and all three have the same issue. If I boot the computer with both interfaces connected via thunderbolt to separate ports (not chaining...

Re: Sluggish behaviour
Check to see if your plugins are running in "real time mode" or "pre-gen mode" in the Audio Plugin Prefs. I never use that pre-gen mode. It causes the problems like you describe. Just a shot in the dark! hope it helps

Re: any maschine users in here?
I'm a Maschine user! I use it inside DP. I usually sequence an idea on the hardware using maschine's built in sequencer. Once I have a basic part, I use the drag MIDI option and put the MIDI on a track in DP. Best of both worlds IMHO. Basic idea inside machine first, then drag to DP for arrangement ...

Re: Pro Tool's Tab to Transient
The closest thing is the "Snap to Beats" check box in the top right of the Seq Editor window... right between turning on and off the grid and markers. The cursor will then snap to transients. If you hold down the "C" key it will momentarily change the the scissors tool so you can...

Re: Remote access to DP
I always find it hard to use "back to my mac". When I leave the house for the day and think I might need access to my home machine, I start up Teamviewer, take a screenshot of the ID and Password, and email it to myself. Any time throughout the day i can log into my machine remotely for fr...

Re: Your Favorite iPad App for DP?
Excellent. Thanks for posting that. I would need at least 3 more faders. I wonder if it would work to have the same fader height as you and just out a bunch of buttons along the top. So you have a page with all your transport controls as well as track selection and mixer etc., in DP I take it. I ma...

Re: Your Favorite iPad App for DP?
what would you use if you wanted a bunch of buttons and faders to control things like VSL and other vi's? TouchOSC is the way to go for MIDI CC data control and quick keys. The touchOSC app is only $5 and if you pair this with Osculator $19, you can pretty much build your own custom template. My te...

Re: Your Favorite iPad App for DP?
I love TouchOSC for the iPad, I retired My Kenton Control Freak because of TouchOSC. I built my own template to control the MIDI basics and bunch of quick keys.
