MIDI Note Off Not Registering - RESOLVED
Interesting little glitch. When sequencing MIDI, one specific key (C#2) is not recording a note off. I can play the sample, and when I release the key the sample stops playing but the "note off" message is not recorded into the sequence. At the end of a take I'll get a big long MIDI note o...

Re: Moving Just the beginnings or Ends Of MIDI Notes
I should have mentioned, I was trying to be able to do with without the mouse. I can do it with a mouse manually but I'm guessing at durations (Cinematic Studio Strings has a set 100ms or 250ms delay). By having it be something that can be automated with a function, the durations can be exact and sa...

Moving Just the beginnings or Ends Of MIDI Notes
I'm working Cinematic Studio Strings and trying to automate the delay that comes along with their wonderful sounding legatos. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to move just the beginnings of a MIDI note while keeping the release in the same place? The shift function seems to only move the entir...

Re: DP 10.11 movie sync not happening...
From what I can duplicate, the error only occurs when playing from bar 1. So if your sequence chunk starts at bar 1, and I start playback from Bar 1, Beat 2, and the picture will unfreeze and play normally. I usually have my sequence start at Bar 1, and music comes in at Bar 3. So if I start playbac...

MIDI Editing Stall while in Solo mode
I'm really enjoying working in 10.11, there's a ton of effort that went into improvements and ease of use. One problem I'm having, when in Solo mode only. To get into MIDI view, I'll often double click on MIDI data in the Tracks Overview. It pulls up the MIDI Editing window, but takes 30seconds-1 fu...

Re: DP 10.11 movie sync not happening...
I'm also experiencing this error. I'm glad to hear MOTU knows of it.
My workaround has been starting playback before my sequence start time. Using the Seek shortcut, I'll start the sequence at Bar 0 when my sequence starts at Bar 1. For some reason it plays fine that way.

Re: Setting Main Counter Defaults
The problem I'm having is that the Counter defaults to SMPTE every time I open a project. I'll switch the Main Counter to Bars, restart, and it's set back to SMPTE.
This happens regardless of which project I'm opening. Trying to figure out why DP isn't saving that change.

Setting Main Counter Defaults
I had always used my Main Counter set to count Bar Numbers, but for some reason it now defaults to SMPTE everytime I open or restart DP 9.02. It's not a huge deal, but requires manually resetting the main counter everytime I open the program. I've looked through the manual and not been able to find ...

Buffer Setting Bug
Interesting bug. All of my MIDI notes are early by an 8th note. Problem occurred suddenly. Narrowed it down to the buffer setting - When I select a setting of 512, the buffer setting will actually be 256. If I select 128 the real buffer setting is 64, etc. Selecting 32 buffer gives me an actual sett...

Re: MIDI Latency Compensation
I am having this same problem. Just occurred on 9.01. No idea what's causing it.
I play in time, and the MIDI notes show up about an 8th note early on the piano roll.

Maximum Number of Busses? - RESOLVED
Running DP 9.01, I seem to be maxing out at 64 busses, but the website is claiming a max of 99 stereo busses. Am I missing something, or is this an addition that was made to 9.1?
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

Shortcut for Cycling Through Consolidated Window
I'm trying to figure out a way to work with consolidated windows, where I could cycle through the tabs (Tracks, Sequence, etc) as opposed to using the mouse to click. Wondering about this tip from the optimization post: Category: General Cycling through windows with keyboard command Works in: everyw...
