Re: MOTU AVB Aux sends
Yes, I tried this and at 96 Khz, only Aux 1-6 are available, which can still give me 6 mono sends, which is what I guess I'll have to live with. When switching to 48, more Aux sends as well as another group shows up.

MOTU AVB Aux sends
Hey guys, It's been a long time since I've been on here and I finally have gotten around to doing some recording with a new (to me) full band. However, I'm trying to figure out the Aux sends to give everyone their own mix. So the MOTU 1248 literature says that I can have 7 Aux sends, but I only see ...

Re: AVB problems with latest version 1.2.9+1280
In case anyone reads this and may have a similar problem. I think I may have found the actually problem and believe it may have been due to my ethernet cord where it plug into the wall having been bent slightly by something. I've left both interfaces on for quite a while to see if they lose contact ...

AVB problems with latest version 1.2.9+1280
Hey all, Is anyone else having these problems. My AVB connection keeps getting lost. Here's what I have, one 1248 in control room hooked to computer and ethernet connecting to other room with AVB switch which connects to another 1248. Every once in a while the one connected to my computer just loses...

Re: MOTU 828mkII quit working after overnight Windows 10 Upd
So I found a fix for my problem and thought maybe it would help you guys as well.
I had to uninstall my driver for the MOTU and restart the computer and when it started back up it automatically found the driver and reinstalled it and it now works.
So I hope this helps you guys!!!!!

My 1248 which hooks up through USB has done the same thing and I've been trying everything to get it to work again.

Windows and Thuderbolt
So I just read that a beta with Thunderbolt drivers is now available for Windows 10.
Is anyone using this yet? I would love feedback before jumping and buying a thunderbolt card.
Thanks,
Billy

Re: 828MkIII Digital Output Level causes clipping - Why?
Are you sure that the unit you're sending the signal to is set-up to receive line level signal? Maybe the clipping is happening from the input stage of that gear and not the Motu's output. I use mine successfully to send to a TC Electronics M300 reverb unit, but it has a line in level control that I...

Re: 828 Mk3 FW Connection and Static
This system is streamlined for audio - all unneeded hardware is disabled or uninstalled. I didn't mean "static noise", I mean static charges. TOUCHING the MOTU or the laptop causes the connection to drop. That's really weird. Do you have them both plugged in to the same ac outlet? If so, ...

Re: 24 track Tracking Noises in WinXP Pro
It's definitely a clocking issue, one of your devices is not syncing up well. Since you are using 3 devices, you may need to buy a wordclock to sync them all up.
Peace,
Billy

Re: 828 Mk3 FW Connection and Static
Did you update to the 1.06 firmware? and are you using the latest drivers? They actually just released a new version a few days ago. It really sounds like something else on your computer is causing a conflict. Maybe sharing an IRQ with the wireless internet on that laptop. Try disabling the internet...

Re: ADAT at 96 kHz
I have the older Octopre and an 828 Mk3 and use the Octopre as the master via Adat. I have actually gone back to recording at 24/48 because of the DSP drain on the Cuemix FX eq/compression is way less than recording at 24/96, but I was using it this way before at that rate and still do when recordin...

Re: What do you think of the Focusrite Saffire PRO 14?
I have a Focusrite 26 i/o and an Octopre. I didn't like the Focusrite control software, their monitoring options basically sucked, you could send like 5 different stereo headphone mixes but they were all the basic same mix with the only variable of how much DAW is mixed with the live mix. So I got t...

Re: 896mk3 Bus Questions
Well, I know nothing of Audacity but in Cubase or Wavelab both of which I use with my 828 Mk3, you must set-up the inputs to correspond to the bus you've selected. So if as you said you're using Main Outs 1-2 for your bus, then somewhere in Audacity you must set those to be your inputs. Cuemix FX is...
