Hi At the moment it is only not compatible with the new mac pro. Maybe future apple mashines will be too not compatible with old PCIe cards and a thunderbolt-chassis. I wish I could use my MOTU PCIe-424 mobile, so I don't have to take the whole computer with me to record gigs with my DM-24. regards

Hello If you use non Apple SSD you have to manually enable the TRIM function! ( And this after every OS update) You can do it manualy, there was a nice website that discripres how. I can't find it at the moment. I'm not at my computer. Or you can do it with free software. Here some freeware to do it...

You can't change the ADAT input on the 2408 to optical.

It will work only with a optical to spidf converter (the 2408 has a spdif input).

searching a manual for the new cuemix for PCIe-424 card users.

I installed the new driver and cue mix. I'm not exatly sure if cue mix don't work like it should or if I did a mistake.

I was unable to get analog inputs into my daw. TDIF inputs worked perfectly.

I had a 2408mk2 with bad caps, maybe you have something similiar.

Open your 2408mk2 and check for bad caps.

Definately not the battery!

Open it and check the condensers inside. I had a mk2 with bad caps. (But was working without any issues; now it is recapped)


I'm not sure if it had a fuse inside but check it too.

the battery inside the mk2 is for standalone modus. That the mk2 can remember the settings.

You can check that by turning it on, then change the settings from the front panel. Turn it off and on again, if the settings are changed you need to replace the battery.
