Re: Spectrum Analyzer - Built in?

Re: Spectrum Analyzer - Built in?

I thought it was in the install package ? They are separate from DP - check you DP folder in apps or MOTU folder

Re: Ventura 13.4.1 just dropped!

Old news. Ventura 13.2 caused a lot of 3rd party peripherals not to show up including some thumb drives a few Pioneer CD/DVD burners — Asus and others were ok, however. In any event, MacOS 13.2.1 fixed everybody up. For those where 13.2.1 didn't clear it up, every thread I've read about ongoing inv...

Been holding off updating to Ventura .
Anybody having issues with external drives not showing up? Read a thread on Mac rumors blaming 13.4.1 was the issue specifically for Mac Studios.

Re: Would anyone like to explain the AVB Routing Matrix to me?

I It seems like after fiddling with it a bit I eventually get an "Aha!" moment as you say, and get the job done, but the next time I visit the matrix I have to waste time waiting for the "Aha" all over again. My feelings exactly. I've gotten to the point of taking screen shots f...

Mac Studio won't reliably shut down, but restarts with error

Hmmm... then in your case it might be something that as nothing to do with the 828es. Do you have Native Instruments' Native Access installed? Oh, in your signature you mean "2TB" right... not "2GB"... that could be a problem then. :? LOL, yeah fixed to 2TB , and yes I hav...

Re: Mac Studio won't reliably shut down, but restarts with error

I'm getting spontaneous restarts either way- power off 828es before or after the Mac. This is totally wacky : :smash:

Re: Mac Studio won't reliably shut down, but restarts with error

My 828es is via TB. Normally it will crash if shut off 1st. Previously ( prior to 12.6.3) it would ( as you mentioned)spontaneously
restart the Mac w/ an error.

Mystery for sure. Hope they get on it soon.

Re: Mac Studio won't reliably shut down, but restarts with error

Your suggestion that shutting down the TB-connected MOTU interface first eliminates the problem has proven true for me. Since I started following this procedure, I haven't had an undesired or error re-start. Yep... it works. What prompted my mentioning Ventura, is I had some communication with some...

Re: Plug-in Sales and Special Deals Sticky Topic

That's weird, I use TDR Molot free bee and have no issues. No wait, I think I had a moment when it wouldn't pull up the
GUI- after the 12.6.3 update ?? Will have to visit it when I get a chance.

Re: OC18/OC818 & AKG c414 B-ULS vs AT4050

I would get a RODE NT4. It’s an excellent single point X/Y stereo mic that can be found used as low as $250 if you shop around. Bruce Swedien was one of many who sang its praises. Essentially, it’s a pair of NT5s but very easy to set up. If you feel the need to buy it new, https://www.sweetwater.co...

Re: OC18/OC818 & AKG c414 B-ULS vs AT4050

In almost every other situation, it is my belief that a matched pair of mics is a nothing burger. One could even argue a mis -matched pair of mics will provide a more interesting stereo perspective when a single instrument is being mic'd for blending with other mix elements. But that's just me.
