Latency
I hope this isn't too dumb a question. I need to buy a laptop for live use of DP and Superior Drummer. What will affect latency the most...the amount of Ram or the speed of the processor of the laptop ?.
Thanks
Thanks

What is the TO ?
Sorry for this question. I keep seeing this, and I've been using DP for a very long time, but I don't know what TO stands for.I'm sure I will be embarrassed when I find out.

Re: Using 32 Lives trial-some anomalies-Help please
So 32 Lives will successfully bring Waves plug-ins into DP 64 bit? I've been running in 32 bit so I could use the Waves.

Calibrate Plug In
I can't seem to get the routing correct for the calibration plug-in, so I can set the correct volumes for my monitors.. If I can get this figured out, then I would like to have the calibration plug-in send out pink noise through my monitors and have a microphone on another channel receive the noise....

Re: Adat sync to DP
Thanks to all who have helped me in this problem. I think I have found an easy answer. After reading the ADAT manual, I find that when the tapes are originally formatted, 15 seconds of leader are recorded...then 2 minutes of 'data' are recorded...then...at 000.000.00, you can begin recording. So, all...

Re: Adat sync to DP
Thanks for the reply. I can't transfer all at the same time.I have one ADAT, so I will have to do 8 tracks, insert another tape, transfer another 8, and so on. So when I do the next 8, I want them to be in sync with the first 8. You mentioned clocking DP from the ADAT...does that mean opening 'clock...

Adat sync to DP
Is there a way to sync an ADAT to DP with only optical cables into a MOTU 8Pre, then to my computer? I just bought an ADAT on EBay,and I have six ADAT tapes of material to transfer to DP, with an 8Pre in the middle. Can this be done without a separate synching device...like a Motu Timepiece?

Re: Solid Virtual Instrument for DP?
An excellent orchestral option would be Garritan Personal Orchestra.I love it, and the price is great.

Waveform clipping
On 'bouncing to disk', some of my samples are being clipped at the beginning of the waveform for a few seconds and then come in at programmed volume. I have taken out all automation except for volume and pan, but they are a full measure before the waveform.

Audio Plug-In Management
Is there a way to put audio plug-ins in separate folders in DP 6.3? Such as...a folder for EQs, one for Comps, one for reverbs,etc....irregardless of manufacturer? So when I go to pick a plug-in, I look in the Comp folder for a compressor whether it is DP, Waves or whatever.
Thanks
Mark

Re: Any news on 6.02?
Bit of an overstatement or overreaction don't you think? We only have your words to go by, but "traitorous" is sort of strong, don't you think? Language can be somewhat more nuanced than that.
Exactly...that was my point. I thought the reaction to my post was over the top.
