Re: No promotion on Motu to update our softwares??

Respectfully disagree. If you can get done what you need to get done in 7.24 and 10.6.8, that IS a stable system. However, I wonder if for security, you might want to stay off-line? I didn't say it wouldn't be stable. But nowadays it's very hard to stay offline, unless you're on a completely closed...

I was thinking perhaps it will be better to go back with Snow Leopard 10.6.8
To have a stable system.

What do you think?

Thanks again.
um, no. There's absolutely no reason in 2018 to stick to this ancient relic.

Re: No promotion on Motu to update our softwares??

You don’t state your OS but the latest that you can run is 10.7.5 on a Mac Pro 2.1. Neither can it boot into 64 bit mode. https://everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_pro/specs/mac-pro-eight-core-3.0-specs.html Although with a little harmless tweak 1,1s and 2,1s can go all the way up to El Capitan 10.11.6.

Re: Successful AAF/OMF imports DP 9.5

OMF imports have basically worked in DP for a while. I’ve been challenged by the AAF import standard for some time. I recently took the plunge and bought (or renting monthly) Pro Tools. Here are some EXPORT settings from Pro Tools (and probably Avid) which seem to deliver good results in DP 9.5. I’...

Re: DP Control is WORKING??!!! (Except for Save)

The person/people who wrote the code for DP Control probably don’t use DP any more. Moved in to PT or Logic or not doing music at all. The person/people who wrote the code for DP Control is MOTU. It's up to them to update and maintain the app. Last update was 8 years ago. Why are they still listing...

Re: Why is modern pop music so terrible?

Interesting indeed. To me it always comes down to "good" or "bad" music. Modern pop sometimes has some really great songs. They are likely outnumbered by the bad, or average ones though. There are a couple of things that bother me in the video, such as when he asks, "how did...

Re: Multiple DAWs

Morpheo, you mentioned a click that's not in tempo with the music. There are certainly ways to do that, but clicks have gotten kind of complicated in DP. Get the technique down and it should always be in time. I've never seen it not get the click correctly unless I had set the wrong thing up. But t...

Re: Multiple DAWs

So why do you still participate at a DP-focused board? Just to bash DP? um, no, not at all. Just stating my opinion, if that's ok. When the next version comes out, I'll gladly pay for the upgrade if it's worth it*. DP is a great DAW otherwise I wouldn't have used it for so long. But there are thing...

Re: Multiple DAWs

I have switched to Studio One 3 Professional for most projects now and rate it highly (I nearly went to Cubase but Presonus made a half price offer and I got Studio One for less than Logic and less than Cubase) - but I still use DP for some editing - I have not discounted using it for new projects ...

On the MOTU.com website, right below the Log In button, there are 2 links for... "Forgot your username?" "Forgot your password?" Like I said above, "forgot your username" worked. I got a response less than a minute later. "Forgot your password" is a no-go. As...
