Re: DP 7 w/ DAE - tempo sync? (w/Stylus, etc)

So, to those of you who've noticed that there is an issue with numerical entry for certain plugins, please make sure to open tech links directly with MOTU, or call in. I've just gotten off the phone with tech support, and was told they weren't aware of the issue. I was also told that they hadn't tr...

Re: DP 7 w/ DAE - tempo sync? (w/Stylus, etc)

surprise ! DP7.1 now running on PPC / Leopard, PT8 (had always crashed on hitting play/rec) but still it´s not possible to enter numerical values in TDM-plugs (with rtas plugs there´s no problem) How well does that combo work? Is it slower than, say, DP 5.13 and PT HD hardware in Tiger? PL I did on...

Re: DP7, DAE, Leopard, PPC

DP7.1 seems to have solved the play/rec crash - works fine here

but still it´s not possible to enter numerical values in TDM-plugs (with rtas plugs there´s no problem)

kernel panics with MIDI express driver v. 1.4.23

on my system (PPC G5, Leopard 10.5.8) I had sporadically kernel panics since I updated my MIDI express driver to version 1.4.23 after nothing helped (changing RAM, re-installing system, checking all periperals like disc, usb-hubs ...) I found that the new midi-driver 1.4.23 was the culprit went back...

Re: DP 7 w/ DAE - tempo sync? (w/Stylus, etc)

thanks shooshie for helping but we are talking about DP in DAE -mode it´s not a problem with an audio-card driver In MAS-mode with any audio-driver (digi or system-audio) there´s not such a problem, it´s an issue with the combination Leopard, PPC and PT HD hardware and only if DP working in DAE-mode

Re: DP 7 w/ DAE - tempo sync? (w/Stylus, etc)

thanks spirit for your respond but I did all that trouble shooting like starting only with a mini-plug set and adding only one VI, trashing DAE, PT, DP prefs, rebuild the user permissions and so on... It also made no difference between DP7.0 / PT8.0cs3 and DP7.01 / PT 8.0.1 I´m on a G5, PCIe PPC, sh...

Re: DP 7 w/ DAE - tempo sync? (w/Stylus, etc)

you are on PPC (like me), that´s the difference to spirit and tripit Motu obviously didn´t test the combi DP7, Leopard, PPC, PT8 DAE After waiting now 6 weeks long to get an answer from motu-support regarding this issue I´ve got the feeling that buying the upgrade to DP7 was a big mistake, same as p...

Re: Accessing Kontakt 3 & 4 MIDI port 17-32, 33-48 in DP 7

so far I know accessing the other ports is only possible in standalone version of kontakt

at least I´ve never found a way to do that (same in logic, protools...)
