Re: High Sierra, DP and UAD Pluggins

Here is the workaround I received from MOTU tech support and it worked: Digital Performer and Universal Audio Workaround fix for UAD plug-ins on macOS High Sierra 1.) Run the UAD 9.4 installer. Restart the computer. If this is the first time running the UAD installer, make sure to enable the UAD dri...

Re: Partition or not?

Do not partition a Fusion drive. There is no performance advantage to partitioning any SATA drive. Some may want to do it for organizational reasons but, unless you are running different versions of the Mac OS on different partitions, even that no longer makes sense. Put your VIs into a folder. If ...

Re: Partition or not?

I'll receive my new iMac this week-end and I would like to know if partitioning the disk is still useful especially with the latest osx. I have a 3To Fusion drive. Thanks Probably not with a Fusion Drive setup. You want to let the OS sort itself out, prioritizing data location by demand. Partitioni...

Re: Memory cycle and recording MIDI behaviour

 BTW, which OS X are you using now? It is at least possible in my mind that some of the MIDI problems reported have something to do with OS X updates affecting the Audio MIDI Setup utility. My evidence for this is that Pro Tools users are reporting MIDI timing errors they didn't used to have. ...

Re: Memory cycle and recording MIDI behaviour

I did that too. Nothing helps.

Anyway, I throw the towel, I just loaded Logic. I think I'm done with DP after all those years.

Re: Memory cycle and recording MIDI behaviour

Thanks for the reply. The value of the MIDI note is correct meaning it could be a long value but I get a very short note instead when I play back, on the cycle repeat it seems ok. Overdub is On sometimes and multi-record also but not using it. I'll check. Even this morning trying to freeze a Kontakt...

Memory cycle and recording MIDI behaviour

I have a problem when I record MIDI tracks with the memory cycle on. It records something that affect the length of my first beat to a short note and it only plays the short data at the first beat, the first time of the cycle. Anybody is having that problem? I don't see anything in the MIDI data. I'...

Re: DP and Live

Thank you for that extra info. It helps me to understand better the Rewire concept. I'll have to find the best way to use the features of Live with DP.

DP and Live

Is there a way to use both Live from Ableton and DP9?
I can't figure it out. I know Rewire is supposed to do that but I didn't have the result I was looking for.

Any suggestions about how to set it up?

Thanks

Re: DP 9.1 is here

I had an issue with the Waves CLA FX this week. Couldn't record even the "bypass" on-off. I was pissed. Tried for an hour without success. I did remove the plug and reload and it worked !!!

I still don't understand why it happened but it can be fixed.
