Re: Chunks Window Insanity
I don't know how to describe it other than it seems I have trouble getting the sequence/chunk positioned correctly before releasing the mouse and they don't land where I wanted them. I believe the biggest problem is that it's too small in that window and therefore requires great "mouse maneuver...

Re: Chunks Window Insanity
So if understand correctly, you're not necessarily re-ordering chunks (sequences) on the fly during your set... I had buttons assigned to my MIDI controller pedal to step forward and backward through chunks as well as a play/stop button. Great info and definitely in context with what I'm doing but ...

Re: Chunks Window Insanity
Are you talking about re-ordering the chunks in the chunks window? It seems to work fine here. I click on the little block of cheese, and drag it slowly up or down, the others spread apart showing where it will go, then it goes there. I wonder if there's something about the mouse/trackpad settings ...

Chunks Window Insanity
I spend way more time than it should take trying to line up sequences here. Is there another way besides trying to slide them with the little thing at the left?? They jump up and down and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong?

Re: Track Folder Behavior
Something odd that's happening for tonight in V10, I create a new folder from selected tracks and it moves it all to the bottom. I don't remember seeing this happen before, is that normal? Annoying because it adds an extra step where I have to move the folder back up where I had those tracks to begi...

Re: input different MIDI channels in the same track
You can also view multiple tracks simultaneously in DP, so even though the data is in different tracks, it is all accessible from a single "graphic editor" window. This is a great feature that I wish I could understand how to make happen. Occasionally it happens randomly for me. How do I ...

MIDI Configuration, What MIDI Configuration?
So the vast majority of DP work I've done has been on MacOS but in this case I went backwards to 9.52 on an older Dell PC where I re-installed Win10 on a new SSD after the old main drive crashed a few months back. This PC has a FW400 board installed and I'm using a Presonus SL16.4.2 mixer/interface....

What would one tape to the bottom of a MBP?mikehalloran wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 10:46 am Having something taped to the bottom of your MBP — that's where I would look first. Get some distance between that and your machine and see if the noise changes.

Re: 828x and SSD Noise
I wish I could get images to display, wouldn't work from iCloud and now won't work from Dropbox either, what up with that? Anyway, the interface is in a four space rack case standing upright on the floor, there is a Furman M-8D and a Line 6 Relay G90 guitar wireless receiver (not powered on for the ...

828x and SSD Noise
I get noise at the output of this 828x interface that varies depending on what the computer's SSD is doing, like a type of interference. It's certainly annoying. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there any kind of fix? DP10 on a 2017 MBP. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/cqllvj65m4sw80z8q3w2n...

The MIDI Human Feel
This has always been a bit of a caveat for me. I'd often started a new song recording a MIDI (typically piano) track. I'll just work to a click to maintain my momentum and keep it simple. Today however I really wanted to change that with a new song I've got that really requires more variation at a c...

Re: Preventing UAD Meter & Control Panel launching at boot?
Also reminder to self: never enable another 14 day free trial. Now every time I start DP I get a pop up to remind me that the 14 day free trial of Manley Massive Passive has expired. Thanks UAD, I knew that a month ago. UAD: the car warranty spammer of the audio world You might be able to stop that...
