Check out Toontrack’s EZ Player Pro......it works with a wide variety of drum samplers.

This will be hard resist……..gotta love Greg Phillinganes playing’ that buttery LA Rhodes patch, quoting, interestingly enough, two Jay Graydon / David Foster hits. Cool…..

Re: A new question: Finale vs Sibelius
Just discovered this thread....... I feel compelled to stick my 2 cents in, but first, I suggest reading the article presented here: http://www.newmusicbox.org/articles/to-upgrade-or-not-to-upgrade-a-notation-software-update/ I'm a 30+ year veteran of the music prep scene in LA - over the years I've...

Re: DP 7.42 seq. won't remember/reload a Kontakt 5 Multi?
This may be of some help….. I'm on OS 10.6.8 & using DP 7.2 - bought the NI Akoustik Piano Vi several years ago, and then later purchased Kontakt 4 - I used the the Ak Pno library in K4 successfully for over a year. Updated to Kontakt 5 a couple of months ago, and had strange behaviors with the ...

Ouch! Things are gettin' a bit testy 'round here today…..I'd have to agree with both David & Shooshie to some degree. I make my living with the software I use, and it has to work, every time, so I don't rush into OS updates or major updates to installed software. But at the same time I realize s...

Re: RealGuitar LPC another Guitar VI disappointment??
Anyone aware of Indiginus instruments? http://www.indiginus.com/ I stumbled onto this small developer while pokin' around the V.I. Control site; seriously cheap, they couldn't be any good, right? I downloaded the Double-Track Ac Guitar Free just for kicks and was impressed as to how musical it was. ...

Re: M5-3... uh oh...
Hey MLC, Definitely annoying, to say the least…..I guess MOTU & UVI have more work to do. I had decided to take the plunge on Thursday, but I may hold off awhile and wait for further reports. I've run a couple of experiments with MSI & UVI workstation on my other computer (laptop) the last f...

Re: MachFive 3 unable to mount MachFive 2 ufs soundbanks
Wow, MLC, you are fast and knowledgable - very cool. Ok, so I don't own M5 v3 yet, I'm only considering it. I do own MSI, it's not installed, and as it appears that MOTU isn't really supporting it any longer, I don't intend to install it. I'm not thrilled with the library anyway, but some of the sou...

Re: MachFive 3 unable to mount MachFive 2 ufs soundbanks
The ability of Mach5 v3 to read the sample data / program files of MSI & Ethno is an advertised feature…..I wonder, do the apps and ILok keys, plus the data files, have to be installed on your computer for the function to work, or is the .dat file and the respective ILok key enough?

Re: The MachFive 3 REVIEW-1: the Good, the Bad, & the Ugly
Ok, so what I've been able to learn so far about Mach5 v3 from our early adopters is: 1. There's a saving bug when using it in plugin mode in DP, 2. Only 16 MIDI channels are available in plugin mode, because it's now an AU plug, not a MAS plug, 2. It may be (?) more CPU demanding than v2, 3. There ...

Re: MACH FIVE 3 IS LIVE!!!
It would be great if our courageous early Mach5 v3 adopters could report back to the 'Nation about their impressions of the software; love / hate the GUI, stability, cpu hit, library quality - especially the new scripted instruments, import issues, etc. I'm sure we're all hoping for a successful and...

Re: AudioMidi no-brainer: Miroslav Philharmonik CE for just
I hear 'ya, James, and I feel the same sense of trepidation. There must be enough money to be made in IPhone and IPad apps to justify IKM and SWW's frantic push into IOS territory….when SWW bought the rights to Submersible Musics's product line, I figured that would lead to the eventual demise of Dr...

Re: AudioMidi no-brainer: Miroslav Philharmonik CE for just
It's nice to see IKM products getting a little love from the 'nation. I'm a long time Sampletank user…..started with ST1, moved on to ST2, which was a revelation and caused me to part with all of my hardware instruments. Even though I own and use Kontakt 4 (w / additions to the factory sound set), I...

Re: Who here actually produces as their day job?
Thanks for the welcome, Shooshie. To answer your question, I'm not a wind player, so no, I haven't experimented with any of the electronic modeled wind instruments. I know you're a big fan of the Wallander line…….I was impressed with the Jordan Rudess Wiviband video demo, and I'll probably buy that ...

Re: Who here actually produces as their day job?
I don't often contribute here, but I found this thread interesting……I've followed a very different path. I attended Berklee College of Music straight out of high school, courtesy of a scholarship from DownBeat magazine. The freshman class that year included Miroslav Vitous, Harvey Mason, and Richie ...
