Re: Catalina drivers for USB interfaces now available
I've gotten back to doing some testing and curiously for me, with my Catalina Macbook Pro 16" and Ultralite mk3 Hybrid, the driver seems to be fine going to sleep with a USB connection, but panics immediately on sleep with the firewire connection . Even when it is the only peripheral connected ...

Re: Catalina drivers for USB interfaces now available
I've just installed the Calalina drivers on MacOS 10.15.2, running with an UltraLite mk3 Hybrid, and whilst it operates fine, when I either disconnect the Hybrid from USB, or power it down, it locks up MacOS completely. Everytime. Reboots, reinstallation etc, all have no effect. Running firmware v1...

Re: Catalina drivers for USB interfaces now available
I've just been testing a MOTU Ultralite original (firewire only) and Ultralite mk3 Hybrid (tried both firewire and USB) with the new drivers on Catalina on a Mid-2019 macbook pro in Logic Pro X and iZotope RX 6, and everything seems to be working great for both those interfaces! No audio glitches he...

AVB discovery can't find audio interfaces on win 8
Hi all, I'm trying to control an Ultralite AVB remotely over a local network from a Windows 8 machine using the MOTU AVB web control app hosted by the ultralite. It works fine on other computers running other versions of windows, but on this machine it just opens a web browser window pointing to loc...

Same here. Also looking for a way to stop it. Caused by CueMix's OSC control features.

Re: How to route to separate outputs with the Ultralite Mk3
note that on the ultralite what is labeled as "line output 3" (for instance) on hardware is often confusingly called output 5 in software because the main outs are the first pair that the software sees and where it starts numbering. Not familiar enough with Live to know if it grabs the nam...

Re: Mixing / Recording stand alone softsynths
This is fun stuff. I think using both jack and soundflower is overkill though - as soundflower's capabilities are a subset of those of Jack - jack can do all the routing you'd ever want by itself. That said, for reasons stated below, what I do is make an aggregate device with the MOTU interface and ...

Re: Ultralite mk3 Hybrid dropouts. Macbook 2.16GHz too slow
That's unfortunate. My UL mk3 hybrid has been rock solid the last year and a half, as long as I'm not bus powering it the macbook pro when on battery power only.

Re: Ultralite mk3 Hybrid dropouts. Macbook 2.16GHz too slow ?
Do you guys get these dropouts when recording too? I have a test rig that maybe I will try out on my UL hybrid now - a battery powered analog sin wave oscillator as input (so it can NEVER make a digital glitch), logic to record for a few hours, then a Max/MSP patch that loads the audio in and analyz...

Re: Will DP files recorded under Mac OS 8.6 need conversion ?
It may be that the audio file headers are missing? If you know what format, samplerate and bitrate they were, you might have luck making copies and re-defining their headers with soundhack. Just a shot in the dark.

Re: UltraLite Hybrid : Does it work via USB on a Mac?
Works here over USB on a Jan 2008 Macbook Pro (last before unibody) with OS X 10.5. Even clocks nicely to an original ultralite (which is of course on firewire) via the MOTU Audio Setup panel - the two interfaces seem to stay in sync just as well as when both are on firewire. Have only tested this t...

Re: 828 MKII and Mac Pro - 828 is on but nobody's home
Do other FW devices work? If you daisy chain another FW device through the 828, does it show up? What does it say for firewire in System Profiler when the 828 is plugged in?

Re: Ultralite Hybrid Phantom does not work under battery power
hate to keep replying to my own post, but I wanted to let people know that I talked to MOTU tech support about this issue. They said this is a known problem that their techs are looking into for apple laptops before the unibody designs. There is a voltage drop in firewire power when on battery with ...

Re: Ultralite Hybrid Phantom does not work under battery power
I can now add that when the hybrid is bus powered by the battery on my powerbook G4, not only do the pads and phantom LEDs not work, but it registers audio input on channels that are not connected and there are awful sounds coming through the headphones - electronic buzzing and such. I must have a d...
