Re: 2010 Quad 3,2 or 2009 Octo 2,26
Another way to increase drive performance is to get (2) 7200 rpm drives and create a software raid using 2 of the 4 available slots. This will increase the data rate from the drives and easily handle your track count. I got a ProTools HD OMF that I needed to translate into a Final Cut Pro XML for a ...

Re: surround monitor level control
I have been using a Steinberg MR816 and a Focusrite Saffire 56. Trying to decide between them. DP controls both rigs perfectly, but the drivers are better for the Focusrite. Steinberg's drivers are dodgy. Both units allow you to control all the outputs from the master volume knob on the interface. B...

Re: 9/11 remembered
I watched the plane that hit the Pentagon from just across the river, and 2 close friends of mine lost cousins in the NYFD that ran into the flames to rescue people. We are blessed to share this world with people like our first responders, and may we see our differences as human strengths, not reaso...

Are you dropping the SBs in the left or in the right part of the TO window?[/quote]
I am dropping them in the right part of the window. From your question I assume the answer is drop them on the LEFT side of the window and voila?

Drag multiple audio files from soundbites to tracks
I have been using DP on and off for sequencing for about 10 years, but recently I have been starting to try to move from ProTools to DP 7.2 for audio work as well. I am mixing multi track recordings from a live concert recorded on an Alesis HR 24. I brought the files into DP 7.2, and I would like to...
