Re: Audio Quantizing and the unwanted "Underwater Effect"
I swear I did it successfully once years ago, but I didn't write down how, and now I can't seem to do it anymore? I did notice that there are different playback setting vs ("rendering"?) settings, and I tried that and maybe my Mac Pro is just bogged down? But then again what would that mea...

Re: Audio Quantizing and the unwanted "Underwater Effect"
Hey it took me a minute!
Signature as in the specs of my computer and stuff?
All still the same, except for DP 11.-whatever the latest is currently.
Thanks!

Re: Changing Velocity with by holding down "V" and dragging mouse!
On a different "note", and not to change the subject, but one of the things I absolutely love about DP is that I have never used the tool-palette. Motu seemed to figure out the things you would most likely want to do in any given window, and the cursor or double-clicking or whatever just s...

Audio Quantizing and the unwanted "Underwater Effect"
Hi! Despite years of using Performer and then DP, and being very, very familiar with it (or at least the stuff I use), I've never really used any time-stretching or pitch-tuning ever. The guys I hire all play in tune and in time, so it's never ben an issue. I have one two bar section of finger-picke...

Custom Consoles still look like a 25 year old Atari interface or something.

Re: Custom Consoles Not Working In All Chunks
Hey man that is EXACTLY it. That clipping window is all midi-track assignments. It just gives me a readout of cc #1 on certain tracks that use it, which there is no easy way of punching in and out levels, as opposed to cc #7. It loses all connections to the tracks. I have the same problem with attac...

Custom Consoles Not Working In All Chunks
I'm having some weirdness where a Custom Console I created doesn't work when I switch chunks?
Has anyone else had this problem?
It works for my main template, but when I copy that chunk to work on an alternate take the Custom Console doesn't work in the newly created Chunk?
Thanks!

Re: Bussing Stereo and Surround Tracks
Never mind!
Just noticed there is a "send from channel" option on the surround sends that gives you a choice.

Bussing Stereo and Surround Tracks
I am trying to bus a stereo track to two mono busses, and a 5.1 surround track to six mono busses. I was able to trick out the stereo track by putting the same stereo send bus on two of it's sends, then panning one send full-left and the other send full-right. This sends each discrete side of the st...

Re: Custom key commands - a cautionary tale
I actually eventually made a ever-updated list on my laptop of every MIDI controller # or note I've hijacked for some macro or key-command.
Also every key-combo, so I can quickly find unused ones.

Re: Meters
I do wish Motu would create a simple linear peak-meter plugin instead of calibration, and also add meters to custom-consoles. And PLEASE give custom-consoles a facelift! It's a tremendous tool, but not a great GUI. And it could use some additions and new features. I read about "environments&quo...

Re: Meters
I had that problem too, and ended up figuring out a "meter bus". I was getting latency and some other stuff, all for just a meter! I put a bus on one of my master 2-bus sends that sends to a bus that just has a meter inserted on it. Then I use this (free!) meter; https://www.refusesoftware...

Re: Crappy Workaround for Alphabetizing Categories in Plugin Menus (SEE BETTER WAY IN THREAD!)
I can't get right-click hierarchical plugin menus working in DP at all like in this old DP8 organizing plugins tips video. Does anyone know of any reason or preference that might be stopping it from happening? I am using control-click instead of mouse right-click, as I still have an old left-click-o...

Re: Note Name in Audio Vocal Pitch Editing
There's a preference in MIDI Editing - Always show all note names. Check that if you haven't already. The pitch ruler appears to follow the MIDI settings. Hey thanks! That is what is weird...I have that checked, and it seems to work with MIDI notes, but not with the "bars" or whatever you...
