As far as I remember, you can only update the Faderport to 1.3.3 on a Tiger system. Once it's updated, it will work fine on Leopard (haven't tried mine on SL yet).

Yes - all that is missing is the patch file (.midnam) and the device entry (.middev). MOTU supplies a file with the name of 'Fantom', though I don't know if this is the same as the X8.
