Re: Os Error-Unexpected end of file (-39)

I should add that I was rendering and transcoding a large Final Cut Pro X project in the background...hence why I was caught off guard when my "disk is full" error popped up.

Re: Os Error-Unexpected end of file (-39)

I just had this error. I ran out of OS disk space and couldn't save. Tried saving to another drive but somehow the project got corrupted. I even tried loading it into a fresh project but still got the same error. It did however load and although it wouldn't re-save or save as, I was able to bounce t...

Re: Opening selection in External Waveform Editor

When you say soundbite info, do you mean the raw soundbite files in the soundbite window or the sound clips in the sequence editor?

Kurt Cowling wrote:I don’t think RX recognizes soundbite info, only sound files. I’m on RX5; maybe that has changed?

Opening selection in External Waveform Editor

I am editing a lot of dialog. Some of the raw soundbites that I receive exceed an hour or so. Is it possible to select a clip/selection in the Sequence Editor and then open it in an External Editor such as RX and have just that selection just show up in RX as opposed to the whole soundbite? Trying t...

Re: TM drive not seen; causes Disk Utility to spin

Hi guys! Sorry to highjack this thread. Mike Halloran, I have a couple of WD My Book Live Nas drives that I was hoping to use as backup drives. When I am trying to backup files..DP as well as a ton of other content..Final Cut, Documents, Pics, Photoshop etc. I get a warning from (Chronosync), It adv...

Speed adjustment for fast forward button in transport

Greetings fellow Unicorns! Quick dumb question. I have found myself editing a ton of podcast content and am wondering if there is a way to scroll/shuttle through tracks at an acceptable speed to save time whilst checking the voice content for errors. The fast forward button is too fast to audition t...

Really cool Shoosie! Wished I could have been there to give input on the B3. My back still hurts from lugging that thing around for gigs! :-D

Re: Tip to avoid processor spikes in DP 9.13

Yah, I was very reticent about rebuilding my template until I started loading my projects into a new stripped down 9.1.3 project. All good now.

Re: Tip to avoid processor spikes in DP 9.13

Ok.....I am happy as ••••!!!!! Yes!!! I figured out my own work around by simply loading previous projects into a new 9.1.3 project. All my issues are gone. 9.1.2 as well as 9.1.3 simply did not like my template or previous projects created in 9.0 or even DP 8. All is good! Time to shake up a cold o...

Re: Tip to avoid processor spikes in DP 9.13

While I'm at it: one oddity for me was that spikes/stuttering always happened at the same part of the song I was mixing – as if pressure was building during certain measures. Nothing special going on with automation or anything I could discern. Was your experience anything like that, David? This pr...

Re: Tip to avoid processor spikes in DP 9.13

Following as well. Would this also apply to VIs that reside in VE pro instances that are stored in a V Rack? Me thinks it time to rebuild my template from scratch. Ugh.

Re: RIP Allan Holdsworth

Devastated and Inconsolable. He is just about everything to me as a guitarist and musician. I met him in 83 on his I.O.U tour. Was just listening to an Alan Pasqua tune when I found out about Allan. Sick to my stomach. J
