Re: FIX: Running Motu FW devices in XP SP2, SP3

would doing step one cure me of the "no motu found" blues? i've got a traveler, xpp sp3. for some reason it doesn't like th motu drivers, and never installs them, so if i try to "add new hardware" at the end of it installing the drivers, my system blinks a blue screen with i have...

Re: can't open CueMix FX Console !

i have that same problem! i'm new to a Mac, but at least on Windows, it'll attempt to open, even though it tells me that there was no MOTU device found... b/c for some reason my laptop doesn't like the MOTU.

Re: Mac Troubleshooting Advice

Repair Permissions There is a lot of confusion & misinformation about this simple maintenance procedure. Here's the real deal. When you repair permissions a comparison is made between an installs current state and the requested state from its install receipt. When they differ, they are changed ...

Re: completely new to a Mac... need help.

okay, so apparently there's a special thing i have to do to get it to recognize my video camera (which in my opinion is kind of stupid, but whatever), in any case, my video camera is now recognized with my mac, via the built-in firewire ports, but still no luck with my Traveler. also, in brainstormi...

Re: completely new to a Mac... need help.

i'm pretty certain that the firewire ports on the mac i just bought are bad. it didn't recognize ANYTHING i plugged into it. not the MOTU, my video camera, or my laptop. it didn't even flicker or anything like it was trying to do something. so i'm going to get a pci card i guess. thanks for the help...

completely new to a Mac... need help.

Okay, so after fighting for a year to get my Traveler to work on my laptop, i finally gave up! I have been wanting a mac for a long time, but had been hesitant due to the cost factor, not just the cost of the machine, but also the fact that i have thousands in audio/video software, plus all my Adobe...

as i stated, we went and got a ti chipset card, and it still didn't work on my computer, but BOTH the via and ti worked on all of my dad's computers, or which ever ones he tried anyway. and i was not using the bus power, i have no need to use it.

thanks for the help though

it's not that, it recognizes the card. if i put it in the "found new hardware" thing pops up and everything, so i don't think it's the card.
