went in and worked no problem.

defective unit.

i spent more than a couple of days trying to get 2 828mkII`s working.
sp2 - sp1 - reg changes.
all to no avail.
ended up chaining an adat xt with lightpipe for extra tracks.

currently running mine with xp x64.
no probs at all.
been using sonar 6 producer for a while with no probs.
been trying out reaper, works like a charm.
all in 64 bit enviroment.

Audacity and reaper are free and work well.
reaper has tons of forum information and updates are always coming.

i have heard of people doing it with mac, but not pc.
i have two 828`s same kind scenario, no luck.
instead i use an adat xt to expand my number of available tracks via lightpipe.
live recording i just deal with 10 inputs.

a buddy of mine has a boogie 4x12 stereo cab that has a cool layout.
slant cab layout with the top two speakers with 3/4 open back.
and the bottom 2 speakers are closed box. sounds killer in mono or sereo.
may do some digging and build one in a 2x12 format.

dont know if its true, but i heard jimi hendrix dropped a crappy speaker into a bucket of water to try and get a cool sound.

optical out from adat 1 to optical in on adat 2.
optical out on adat 2 to optical in on the 828mkII.
