I'm experiencing this issue with the Import Audio window.

Great to read everyone's happy with DP5. =)

Even Magic D chimed in. Cheers!

When it comes to the " 5.11, 5.13" etc, I think if "it ain't broke then don't fix it".
I installed 5.13 'cause that's the version I got on the update disk and things are sweet.

Happyness!! :D

Hey again! I think you might be able to get it from your apple dealer as a special order. Don't quote me on that but! Just make sure it'll install in your model of Mac (Universal binary), do a clean install (erase and install), don't forget to repair permissions BEFORE and AFTER updating/installing ...

I just installed DP5.13, WOW!

Hi all; I just wanted to say how impressed I am with DP5.13. I hesitated for a long time and now that I've updated I'm not dissapointed AT ALL. My system feels so snappy and less CPU hit, this is what DP is all about. I just opned sessions saved with 4.61 and they're all working fine. (usually I do ...

896HD user here.

Howdy! I've just read your posts and I'm feeling so bad for you. Must really suck having all that nice gear but nothing works. =( Anywho, I do all my work with a Mac (G4) and 896HD. And have used nothing but Macs all my life, the most important thing I've learnt is to NOT stay at the cutting edge of...

Keep hard drives on a separate FW bus.

Hi;

As far as I know it is recommended to keep hard drives on a separate bus.
NOT a seaparate connection but BUS.

That way there's no bandwidth issues.

I'm not sure this will solve your problem but it's good info!

Greetings!

UAD-1 cards are a great way to take the strain off the CPU for running Plugs.
I too own a Dual G4 and have loaded 4 cards for plugs, leaving the CPUs for DAW, Reason duties.

DSP cards in general are another option for helping a MHZ challenged machine.

Cheers!

For Drum'nBass, Techno, Electronic...

I'd vote for Reason. It isn't a VI but it's designed for electronic music making.
It inputs sound by Rewire (into DP), which has worked flawlessly for me for years.

I'd say give that a try.

Works 100%.

Greetings all;

4 UAD-1 cards in my system running sweetly.

UA quality and support is top notch.

Like Hopiway, I intend to stick with my current setup until I can afford a new Mac.
I recommend writing to UA and investigating the UA Forum for any incompatibilities.

Cheers!

Jumpin' on Mersis' topic too. Sorry.

Unix formatted? What option should be used if using MacOS 10.3.9 Disk Utility for formatting and RAIDing? (stripe)

Thanks.

Using ReWritable CDs helps to keep costs down.
I use iTunes for audio CDs.

All the best.
