Re: MIDI play on note click?
Turn on audible mode (the speaker in the transport window) and you'll hear MIDI notes when you click on them.

Re: How to start play/spacebar from a footswitch?
Try using DP's 'wait' function. Playback can be started from a sustain pedal, from a MIDI keyboard, or any MIDI activity.

Re: comparison FET76 from DP9 and others ?
[quote=It's not only sounds but functionality - like how does it compare to other emulations? Can you work in one the same as you can in another? For that reason alone (and others) I think comparisons are NOT worthless. For me I like the Black 76 emulation IK Multimedia does a lot better than the DP...

DP9 Quickscribe printing problem?
When trying to print or export as a PDF a QS part, I get a pair of black horizontal blocks when I preview. These blocks do get printed and cover part of the score. The black blocks do not show in DP9's QS window, only when previewing and printing. Same projects in DP8 are fine. Anyone else seeing th...

Re: New drum software recommendations?
Hey Folks,
I'm in the market for a drum VI too. Any thoughts on Drumasonic 2? The sounds and mic choices sound good to me.
Thanks!

No problems to report here. Heavy DP use the past few days under 10.9.4. All's well .....

Re: DP 9?
Agree with the above poster .... some maintenance updates, then 8.1. My completely uninformed guess would be a DP 9 release next Jan at NAMM. I was one of those who had major problems with the initial Mavericks release. Make sure you have all your plugs/drivers up to date. I waited until Mav 10.9.2 ...

Behavior unchanged here in 8.05. Still 1 db increments using either stock mouse or Kensington trackball to click.

Re: DP 8.05 & iZotope RX3 Denoiser
Hello All, Just wondering if anyone else is having RX3 crashes since updating to 8.05? If I try to pull up the denoiser plugin either as an insert or with the "Apply Plugin" option, it opens with a completely blank white area where the plugin's UI should be. DP's plugin window header and ...

Take a look at (and demo) the McDSP 6030 Ultimate Comp. Excellent LA2, 1176, DBX Over Easy, Vari-Mu models and more. My go-to comp plugin. Easy to dial in and all the models sound great!

Reseat PCI 424 card fix!
AFAIK, the PCI-424e doesn't operate any faster than 1x? I need to check, but I'd bet that it makes absolutely no difference if you're in the 4x slot or the 16x slot when you're dealing with audio. Thanks James. I'm not sure of the answer myself. Always thought faster PCI buss was better for audio b...

Re: Reseat PCI 424 card fix!
You may want to try reinserting into the bottom slot as I believe the bottom slot is 16X, the two PCIe slots above being bandwidth limited to 4x. I may be wrong on the numbers (it's been a while since I've been inside my Pro) but I believe it's best for audio throughput to use the fastest PCI slot (...

Re: DP and Mavericks
Zapping the NVRAM or PRAM got me out of the loop and restarted the Mac normally, so far. Hold, "command, option, P, and R" on restart is how you zap it. Hold it for a couple of chimes then let go after and it should restart ok. Another thing I found is this. From Apple Forums: A person ca...

Re: Mavericks and MOTU PCI hardware?
Obvious question, but do you have the exact same versions of the MOTU Audio drivers on both machines? That would be revealing. Sometimes even an "older" drive may cure something like this until MOTU can fix it. Regardless of what MOTU decides to do vis-à-vis TB to PCI expansion chassis, h...
