DP 8, VST and Batch Export for VIs?
Hey gang! Now that DP supports VST can we now also do batch exporting from VIs similar to what Cubase does? Would be great to just fire and forget 45 tracks of VIs and come back 5 mins later with a folder full of stems.

Open Mac DP 8 Session with Windows version?
Hey gang! I'm having trouble getting much info on DP 8 Mac/windows compatibility. Can we open sessions in DP 8 back and forth?

Re: Mac Pro old vs new
It was a pain to keep both computers updated and playing nice. Also, the amount of heat two big CPUs can kick out in even a decent sized room can be staggering. I'm seriously looking at the dual 6 core 3.33 ghz upgrade and a couple PCIe SSD's. I think I could run that for at least another 3-4 years ...

Re: Mac Pro old vs new
I see we all look at it from a single machine point of view. Anyone here has gone the PC Slave way? I always liked my set-up simple but perhaps getting a PC to run my heavy libraries is a way to go? Anyone care to chip in? This is probably the most cost-effective approach going, using dimestore PCs...

Re: Mac Pro old vs new
If I were in your shoes I would wait and not go backward in time. ...Beside if you need lots of CPU power I'll consider Mac Pro. For the price you pay it is a good deal. These are top of the line components that would last you for years of upgrades. That's what I thought about my MacPro2,1 but the ...

Re: Super Annoying Workflow Issue
Mavericks with DP8 has been awesome for me.
Looks like this (http://keyboardmaestro.com/) may be the best option for me.

Super Annoying Workflow Issue
Hey gang...quick question I could use some help with. I draw a ton of CC data on a lot of my MIDI tracks and I hate how I seemingly MUST switch between each CC table by clicking through the dropdown menu in the edit window and selecting CC1, then draw. Then click through again to CC2 etc. :banghead:...

Re: The Digital Performer Tips Sheet
FWIW I tried the extreme version of this philosophy the other day. That is, I spread my orchestral template (around 190 instruments) over just ONE instance of Kontakt per instrument. That's right...190 instances of just K5. The result? Disaster. Playback was sketchy and when I saved and tried to reo...

Re: Exporting/bouncing multiple tracks
No easy way to do this with DP. It's too bad and probably the biggest missing feature it has. You can freeze tracks individually WITH their FX chain on them. I just did this for 42 tracks of an orchestral cue that was 5 minutes long. It took about an hour total. They printed perfectly for import int...

Re: Should I make one of my Macs a slave?
Hey James...I do TV/film stuff where slaves are still the order of the day. That said I abandoned slaves over 5 years ago and never looked back. Keeping ONE computer happy, functional and updated is hard enough. Two became a real burden. Granted the other was a PC :) Anyhow, keeping 2 CPU's communic...

Re: Bouncing out
WOW! That would tremendous. I just finished bouncing out 42 separate tracks of orchestra. Much faster than manual printing for sure, but still kind of lame.
Can you describe your bundle setup? Screenshot perhaps?
Many thanks!
