I removed the audio unit cache 64-bit file from user/~account/Library/Preferences/com/motu/MotuAudioSystem/Audio Unit Info Cache 64-bit to fix a different problem and once I let it rebuild all 1200+ AUs I have it speed up DP amazingly as a side benefit of fixing a crashing problem. YMMV

and yes deleting it and letting DP do ALL the checking once again (with UA connect open btw)everything works fine. all fixed again.

no I turned the VST3 support back on, I leave VST 2 off.. I tuned them off because it was long enough to wait for 1235 AUs to scan, I didn't want a little less than that of VST3s to scan too.. I use exactly 1 VST 3 in DP (Arturia's Vocoder) but I install VST 3 along with AUs for Nuendo post projects...
