Re: macOS 10.14.4 update -- is it by stealth?
I believe all System-related updates are now found in System Preferences/Software Update with Mojave. The Apple apps (Pages, etc.) still show in the App Store.
P.S. Profile not updated, but 10.4.4 installed.

Re: Restoring everything but the OS from timemachine
I've got a new iMac arriving end of the week, so not the same kind of update. I'm guessing Mojave's installed. My assumed plan:
Boot. Hit App Store for updates. Reboot. Follow Mr. Halloran's directions to the letter. Am I missing anything? TIA;

El Capitan + MenuMeters
Just saw a note in Friday's E.C. users report at Macintouch. One poster mentioned that MenuMeters doesn't work with 10.11. I don''t use MM, but I know some Nationers do, so I'm posting a link noted by the MiT poster...

Re: Starting fresh
Thanks much. One more question I forgot to ask regards moving my music software and associated pref, lib files and (hopefully) authorizations from my 2008 music Mac. Can you recommend a procedure of least pain and suffering to move/transfer 'em? TIA

Starting fresh

What I have: I recently bought a refurbed 2012 Mini Core i...

Odds appear very good-to-certain that Apple will announce new portables next month at its developer conference. Should be worth the wait.
